Greyhound Racing Tips For Sunday 7th April 2013
Yesterdays Results: Bagget Bale – Winner $2.30, Until Then – Unplaced, Magic Fancy – Unplaced.
1 from 3 last night, and only skinny odds. Bagget Bale saluted, however Until Then from Cannington unfortunately broke down putting an end to her winning chances. Magic Fancy was once again disappointing. We may have to wait a long while for him to come good again.
Lets hope today we are able to find a few winners. Daylight saving has come to an end and most of the country are now on par. The Nowra Puppy classic will be the highlight of today’s racing and the action kicks off at 5.43pm.
Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 8 Tayla Marie, 7.10pm
I’m going to have to tip a hot favourite here as I’ve been unable to find a value runner. However it is the first leg of the Quaddie and you may be able to stitch it up. Tayla Marie, trained by John Conlon is in fine form. The only way I see her getting beat is if she finds trouble or beats herself. She begins quite well, and will be suited by box 7. She run a quick 35.25 last start, when having her first crack at the distance. Expect her to improve again on that time, and any improvement will see her destroy these. Elimbah Swift, looks the best of the rest and she should be running on at the end. These two may make a good exacta.
Nowra Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 7 Double Twist. 7.22pm
Toughest of the heats here with many winning chances. Double Twist looks to be the one here after drawing well. There’s a tonne of early pace from the inside few runners. Double Twist can also get out of the boxes and she may sit up outside and race around them here. They’re likely to jam up and allow the daughter of Where’s Pedro to get the fly around the outside. She has a quick PB and a great record here with 3 wins and 1 second from 4 starts. She only needs to begin and stay outbid the early scrimmage here to win this.
Sandown Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Reckless Charm, 4.19pm
715m staying race here with a very ordinary bunch of participants. We’re not likely to see any superstars come out of this one, but Reckless Charm looks the winner here. Her last two starts have been quite good against quality opposition, and the inside rails draw will suit. She’s a little one paced and does need to get an unimpeded run throughout. Her last two runs have been here, and she only needs to get out well and keep rolling in this to go very close to winning. Butterfly Bling may also threaten here, but she’s moody and a very hard to catch type. Keep her safe.
Sale Greyhounds Race 5 Box 8 Dyna Jezabeel, 6.58pm
The very consistent, very speedy Dyna Jezabeel will go very close in this. It appears a 2 dog race and I’m going with Box 8, after she knocked off an inform raging hot favourite Purcell Bale last start. She began too well and simply outpaced the favourite. She should again spear the lids, and the outside box won’t worry her.
Best of luck.
