Greyhound Racing Tips For Wednesday 26th June 2013

It was a day of placings again yesterday, with 1 winner and a few placings. Hopefully the tide changes, and we pick a few winners along with the Blues who will no doubt finally win the origin! I can't remember that winning feeling!

We're going to try something different today, and tip all Blue boxed dogs – that's box 4 runners. I'll do my best to select the best box 4 runner at most meetings. Hopefully I can do my bit to get the boys in blue across the line.

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 4 Box 4 Blue Oval, 4.42pm

Well it appears the stars have aligned here with blue box 4 runner Blue Oval. The John Pay trained runner isn't all that bad of a eachway proposition here in this. He's going to have his work cut out for him to beat the odds on fav. From box 6 Facinator, but with a little luck early he's the best Blue runner at Albion today. He's slow early and will drop out, but this will certainly be an advantage here for him. He's run good time and has a pretty good record here. With a bit of early luck, he should run into the placings. bet, big place bet.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 4 Sally Brown 2.19pm

Another race 4 and another box 4. Sally Brown is the leading chance to salute here in this. She's got plenty of talent, but is a slow beginner and relies a little on luck; but she is racing very well at the present and she will take plenty of beating here in this average line up. She's going to drop out, but lets hope she doesn't jump too well and find herself in the middle of the pack; because if she does she may struggle to find enough clear running to unwind late in the race. Clear running and her best effort and she just wins.

Dapto Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 4 Licorice Diamond, 6.47pm

Licorice Diamond won her maiden at in pretty slow time but it's a pretty ordinary field she takes on. She did show good speed when winning at Wagga, and with a good jump she might have enough to lead them up here. If she can find the front and the big danger “Turtle Man” gets caught up in traffic, then the Blue runner might be worth a eachway ticket.

Warrnambool Greyhounds Race 5 Box 4 Izzy Allen 8.08pm

Izzy Allen should develop into quite a handy little bitch for the powerhouse Wheeler kennel. She managed to win her first 3 starts, showing early pace in all 3. Shes along way up in class here, but shes got plenty of talent, and has that one attribute most breeders strive for – early speed. It's such a brilliant asset to have, and one in which will ensure she misses the early trouble that so often develops at box rise. Generally speaking very few dogs are able to at both ends. It's what makes the champion dogs, champions. I'm not saying this girl is a champion, but simply a bitch who has been blessed with early toe, and it should take her a long way. It's a tough field, but one in which she can lead and hold on. She's proven her strength in 3 solid wins at 2 very tough 500s and if she can bounce in front today, she's going to take a lot of catching.

So there you have it 4 selections at 4 meetings. All the blue box 4 runners. It's going to take a mammoth effort for the troops to topple Qld on their home turf, but one that they can do. I hope I've done my part to ensure Wednesday 26 June is an all Blue day. Go the Mighty Blues!!

Best of Luck
