Grand Illusion has finally drawn a box and I can easily see her leading all the way. In recent times she has been competing in strong provincial class races and she hasn’t received a lot of luck in running. There isn’t a whole lot of early speed in this event so she should get a cheap lead and she will prove far too classy for this lot. Pepper Fozz can show early speed in her races and she has won here before in a solid 30.44, if she can settle in the top three early she should be in the mix. Kirky Courtz and Mantaray Lad are both poorly drawn but they are both more than capable. Be sure to include them in your exotic bets.

Deli Allen was never out of trouble when making his 600m debut here last time and I would expect her to show immense improvement today. Prior to her last start defeat, she had scored a strong 30.55 win here and a commanding 26.36 Warragul win and on both occasions she indicated that she was crying out for this trip. With an empty box directly outside, she should be afforded a clear run early and she should make her move mid race. Cosmea is expected to lead and she has a top record here, I’m not convinced that she is a strong 600m runner but she will prove hard to reel in. Spring Charlotte is the only other winning hope, she is highly talented when on song and if she can settle in the top two she should be there when it counts.
