Surf Abit has only had the four starts but he has shown great potential in those four tries here. Three starts ago he showed blistering early speed and only tired in the last 50m when placed in very slick time. He tends to track wide in his races but he has a couple of slow beginners drawn on his outside and that should allow him to drive through and lead. Photo Bomber looms as the obvious danger, he was a strong 25.54 winner here three runs back and he should get some cover from Surf Abit in the early stages. Bogie Flyer and Miss Meranda are both very quick beginners and if the inside two make any mistakes, they are the two which are most likely to capitalise.

Danger Three Two hasn't had a lot of luck since scoring here on debut in a handy 22.97 and he is drawn to return to the winners list. After winning here he stepped straight up to the 500m journey and he didn't appear to handle it too well, today he drops considerably in class and apart from Hired Gun there is very little early speed in this event. I expect all the smart punters will be on today so if you can find $2.60 or better that is great value. Hired Gun scored impressively here two runs back and he should match motors with the red for most of the trip, I don't think he is good enough to win but he should hold on for the quinella spot. Ritsuko Allen rounds out the winning chances, she has the empty draw underneath and she appears to be improving with every run.
