I know he was costly last week off the red but Xtreme Knocka was desperately unlucky and I'm willing to give him another chance. Last week he showed a great turn of foot soon after box-rise and just as he was about to take the lead he copped a severe check which sent him back to last. He will need a few things to go his way early but he has a fair bit on these and he should get the job done. The clear danger is Odd Sox from the favourable red draw. He was a smart 29.80 winner at The Gardens from this draw last time and he should produce a similar performance tonight. Impact Bale has won two of his past three starts in impressive fashion and he looks poised to get the cash again. Tonight he has a slow beginner drawn underneath and a couple of wide runners drawn on his outside, so if he can get away on terms tonight he should get more than enough room to drive through to the early lead. When given clear galloping room he is capable of reeling off sizzling sectionals and he will prove very hard to reel in. Cosmic Rush has been placed in three of his past four and in those placings he has shown tremendous early pace. He will go with the favourite for most of the trip but I don't think he will be strong enough to hold on. Santa Storm could provide the value in the event, he is capable of pinging the lids and for some reason he seems to perform well at big odds.
