Tex Walker has been runner up in his past four starts here and on three of those occasions he has been pretty stiff. From the pink tonight he should be able to carve across to the early lead and he should prove far too zippy for these. Bogie Emerald should lead for the first 150m and I would expect her to carve up the runners on her inside as she will crash to the rails, she won’t go with Tex for the final 100m but she may hold on for the quinella spot. Macca’s Spirit is the interesting runner, he resumes from a short spell and he has a top record here, he may run a bottler fresh. Werburgh is another track specialist and he has the ability to fill a trifecta spot if he can avoid early bother.

Top Four: 8 – 5 – 2 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Tex Walker

Trifecta: 8/2,5,7/2,5,7 ($6 for 100%)

Exacta: 2,8/2,5,7,8 ($6 for 100%)

Quinella: 8 to rove with 2 & 5 ($2 for 100%)

Trifecta: 8/2,5/2,5 ($4 for 100%)

Screamin’ is starting to get a reputation as a bit of a non winner but I’m willing to give her one more chance. Tonight she has drawn favourably in the pink and there should be no excuses as the seven will carve left and that should make the race for her. Summit does his best racing here and he can show early speed at times, he isn’t good enough to beat the pink but he should give her a scare for most of the trip. Antonio Tyson is the interesting runner, he has a heap of ability but he can be slow to begin at times. If he can get a few breaks in running he should be able to make an impact.

Top Four: 8 – 2 – 3 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Screamin’

Trifecta: 8/2,3,7/Field ($18 for 100%)

Exacta: 8/2,3,7 ($6 for 100%)

Quinella: 8 to rove with 2,3,7 ($3 for 100%)

Best Value:
Race 9: Mamma Mia, perfectly drawn, small field suits and likely to be over the odds.
