There wasn't a lot between last week's heat winners but I think the explosive Billy Buzzard will be the big improver. He recently joined the strong Vassallo kennel and after a luckless Victorian debut he bounced back with a slick 25.15 heat win. He is armed with a dazzling turn of foot and with slow beginner underneath and a wide runner on his outer, he should get all the breaks in running. Sage Bale is well drawn out wide and he was only narrowly beaten in his heat, if he avoids early bother he should be able to make an impact. Bit Berger is a class act when on song and she can show smart early speed in her races, it was pouring rain in her 25.79 heat win so she is capable of going much quicker.

Winning Hearts loves racing over this track and trip and he is one of the most reliable beginners in work. He is better suited to a wider draw but he did win here three starts ago from an inside alley. He should have no trouble crossing in the early stages and he looks a solid investment. Class Of Magic is well drawn out wide and he has been racing well at of late, whilst Zipping Mani has been placed in three of four here and he shouldn't be too far away again.
