Cosmic Illusion is probably better suited to a wider draw but she is airborne at present and if she can step cleanly she should have sufficient speed to hold them out and then boot away mid-race. She has won seven of 14 over this journey and her two most recent wins have been in sizzling times. If she can step on terms she should lead all the way.

Fear Mitch can be hard to follow but he has the favourable draw and he is capable of reeling off brilliant sectionals when given a clear run, there is a fair bit of speed underneath but if they crash to the fence early he should get a nice cart across.

Yes Chef is better than his most recent form suggests and he must be respected, prior to his past three defeats he did post four brilliant wins on the trot.

Emerley Lover is the interesting runner, he is resuming from around three and half months off and he should be ready to fire fresh.

Funky Chicken is much better than his recent form reads and he should be suited by the drop in class. He is likely to settle back in the field but with the abundance of early speed drawn underneath he should be able to lob onto the rail and he should then find himself in a prominent position mid race.

Heston’s Guess is stepping up in distance and he is ideally placed in the pink draw, he is normally slow to begin but he musters speed well and he should get plenty of room in the early stages. He is a little doubt to run the trip but he should give them something to catch.

Dyna Prankster comes here with strong Victorian form and she should run a forward race, she is coming off a three month spell so there might be some injury concerns with her.

Nevada Smith rounds out the chances, he has a top record here and he should settle in a prominent position early.

Top Four: 7 – 8 – 5 – 2
