Greyhound Tips For Monday 29th April 2013

Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Cee Eh Oh 8.41pm

Cee Eh Oh a daughter of the ill fated looks to be a great chance here. She's been racing in much tougher company of late, and from tricky . Tonight we see her draw the coveted rails, which will be of huge advantage to her. She's yet to salute here at headquarters, having so far started 6 times here for 3 seconds. But she's been unlucky at times, and has run into a couple of smarties. There's no smarties here tonight, and she looks the best dog in the race, from the best box. She has early toe and is capable of leading with her best jump. She's no slouch and if she jumps and runs, she's probably capable of running about 30.25, a quick time and that should see her win and win this very easy. Great box, fast dog, and should be winning this here tonight.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 1 Botha Bale 8.13pm

I've had to toss a coin here to settle on 1 selection, Botha Bale is that selection. Boxes 1,2,3 look the main winning chances and its very difficult to split the 3 of them. Botha Bale isn't racing with a lot of heart, and did fail from box 1 here miserably a couple of starts ago. Life's Cool, needs it all his own way, and Good Aset Gets, may become the meat in the sandwich. So we will stick with the rails runner, and hope she holds her position early and races with some vigor. There's no doubt she can run quick time, probably quicker than her best time of 30.16, but the question remains when she will . She's got some talent, and has the ideal draw, but I wouldn't be taking silly odds, $4.00 – $6.00 should be worth the risk here. Each Way.

Bulli Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 5 Mario Chief 8.52pm

There's plenty of winners on tonight's card at , but most will be short priced favourite's. The best value runner I can find will be the Victorian Mario Chief; I hope. His trainer Gary Selkrig had success when he brought his litter-mates here recently, and he's hoping to have the same success with prolific winner Mario Chief in this. He's a very talented experienced dog, and should have no trouble handling the big open track. He's in good form, and is the class runner of the field.
He only needs to step away with them and gain clear running to win here.

Launceston Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 3 Martello Towers, 10.00pm

I scanned the fields tonight at and nothing really jumped out at me, but our resident contributor Peter Oliver tipped Martello Towers a couple of weeks ago, and I saw he was engaged tonight. So I decided to watch his last few starts and they haven't been all that bad – bad boxes and no luck have contributed to his poor form. He's won the most races from box 3 and he gets his chance to break through again her for win number 13. He will need to position himself early and that may be just in behind the speed. He's quite strong and with his fair share of luck he can get over the top of these here. He won't start favourite, and he looks a great each way chance here in this.

Shepparton Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 6 Who Told Blackie, 8.27pm

Tough race here with many winning chances. Catcha Grenade for master trainer will be the likely favourite, but after the dismal run he put in last week I'm prepared to lay him here. So we are going with Who Told Blackie; he too has put in 2 terrible runs when favourite but he looks better suited here with a long run in from a wide box. He's got plenty of ability and is generally a good beginner. He should head this field of early, and he's going to take a power of beating if he finds the front. Big chance to here again tonight. Each way.

Well here's to hoping we can find a few tonight. It's been very few and far between lately. But the drought must end and let's hope it ends tonight.

Best of Luck
