Greyhound Tips For Sunday 14th April 2013

We will forget last nights selections, and hope you all had a winner or two. Only Boss Coin did the job last night winning the trophy and paying a nice $2.60.

Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1 Poetic Mover, 6.29pm

This is quite an interesting race, with the very fast and very moody Poetic Mover, up in trip for the fist time. The fawn dog by and Bomber Babe has posted some flying times over the 520m trip running sub 30.00 seconds. There was a small period there a while back, where he really was shaping into a high class performer. His litter brother Top Story has proven himself to be a mighty fine dog himself running very quick times also, and in the process earning himself a shot at the Silver Chief. This bloke has the ability but seems to only use it when it suits. Today’s 600m event should hopefully see him return to form.He has drawn box 1 and does have early toe. It’s a poor quality field, and if he jumps and decides to have a go, he should run around the 35.30 mark, and that should see him win this with ease. Make sure you get fair odds, about $4.50 should be the right price about a dog who has the talent, but can be very moody.

Nowra Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 7 Disco Dave 7.15pm

The final of the Summer with $25,000 to the winner, and I’m going to go with an outsider here Disco Dave 1 of 3 runners for Sean Evans and . The son on and Paris St Germain is the likely outsider of the 3 with Luxurious and Miss Kiss the more favoured pair. From out wide here in box 7 he’s going to get a nice clear run. He does prefer and inside box, but the likely favourite, Double Twist, has been beginning a little slowly of late and this could see her get buried around the first turn. Disco Dave may be able to sweep around the outside and miss all the trouble. He has posted a PB of 30.10 and has run a fast first sectional. If he begins and they jam up, he may get the chocolates here. Each way, in a tough race.

Sale Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1 Orthia Bale, 6.30pm

This one seems a between two dogs Orthia Bale, and the very talented Salegreys Power. The former finds it very tough to win, preferring to continually run placings. She’s better boxed here then her last few, and she does possess the early pace to lead here. She can run time when on the bunny and if she pings and goes she will be mighty hard to run down. Salegreys Power is a dour little bitch who two starts ago, posted a very quick 30.35 at , and went just as well last start when running 4th, from a tougher box. Expect both dogs to be burning from the get go. Orthia Bale might just get the better run to hold on here. Match race. We’re going with the red runner.

Sandown Greyhounds, Race 11 Box 2 Suberushie, 5.29pm

Tough race and were going with a roughie here in Box 2. This girl is badly out of form, but shows her best when she able to lead and roll along in front. She should lead this field here today and I liked the way she won 4 starts ago. The favourite Running Man will have to tough from the middle squeeze box and this should allow our pick to roll along nicely out in front early on. If Running Man gets caught in traffic early Suberushie may well be able to pinch this one here.

Best of Luck
