Group 2 Bogie Leigh Futurity – free tips and betting preview

THE stage is set for some dazzling action at on Thursday night, headlined by the Group 2 over the 520m trip. The race is open to the best female greyhound whelped on or after October 1, 2013, with Fabregal the odds on favourite for the 2016 edition.

Rated a $1.90 shot with WilliamHill.com.au, the South Australian star is for her fifth successive victory in the $47,250 to the winner final, having posted the fastest heat win coming into the race.

Starting from the cherry in her heat, the daughter of Fabregas and Allinga Aye Jay made it a one act affair, leading all the way in a slick 29.91, with the black bitch set to exit an identical draw on Thursday night.

Next best in the market is NSW campaigner Dokmai (box eight) at $3.20 which scored a commanding 30.02 heat win over early series favourite Sheza Keen Size which will be out for redemption when she jumps from box four. The regally-bred daughter of Head Bound and Surf Queen has an affinity with the Brisbane track, having won seven races with a sizzling 29.87 personal best.

The Peter Ruetschi-trained speedster is currently on the third line of betting at $4.50 with Sportsbet.com.au, with a win in the final set to take her career earnings over the $90,000 mark.

The rest of the field is over double figure odds, headed by 's Split Image at $12 which will be aiming to give her trainer a fifth in the Futurity when she jumps from box three.

The Group 2 is race seven on the card and is set to jump at 8:46pm.
