Leg 1 – Angle Park – Race 1: Earl Bale To Place $1.73
Earl Bale is a reliable beginner and from the red draw he should be able to fire to the early lead and he should give them something to catch. Last time out, he took on some very good chasers and he led until the home turn and he only went down by five lengths in very fast time. If he can reproduce a similar effort tonight he should be in front as they turn for home and a top three finish is on the cards.
Leg 2 – Angle Park – Race 9: Bradley Bale To Place $1.80
Bradley Bale lacks early speed and he will get back in the early stages but he does have a powerful finish and he should appreciate the big drop in class tonight. He has been placed in his past two runs here and on both occasions he has charged to the line after finding early bother, tonight's race features quite a few runners who struggle in the concluding stages, so with a clear passage he should be able to charge home into the money.
Leg 3 – Traralgon – Race 4: Jules Norris To Place $3
Jules Norris doesn't have great form but she has been racing in much stronger company of late and she is drawn to get the run of the race. I'm expecting the one and three to battle each other in the early stages and that should allow her to drop in just behind them for a nice sit. If she is within a couple of lengths turning for home she can definitely win but I think at $3 for the place, that is where the value is.
