Leg 1 – Angle Park – Race 3: Marlow Brown To Win $1.90
Marlow Brown is a star in the making and he was placed in the Gawler Cup Final at just his sixth career start. Tonight he is in a race which doesn't feature an abundance of early speed, so with a clean getaway he should be able to fire to the top early and he will be running some serious time on the lure. There are a couple of strong and talented chasers in this but they will be giving him a big head start and I can't see them reeling him in.
Leg 2 – Angle Park – Race 4: Kenny Flash To Place $1.53
Kenny Flash is an excitement machine and I think in the future he is going to make an all star stayer. Three starts back he turned in an enormous performance to score here in 29.86 and with an ounce of luck in running he should take a power of beating. He is currently great value at $4 to win and he is worth a win bet outside of the multi, the small concern is that he will get back early and he may run into some traffic, so I believe the place option is much safer.
Leg 3 – Angle Park – Race 5: Danyo's Tom To Place $1.40
Danyo's Tom isn't the strongest chaser but he should lead this field for a long way and he will give a great sight. There is very little speed drawn around him so I am expecting to find a cheap lead and get away mid race. He has got a little tired in his two tries over this journey but he is getting stronger and he should hit the line a little better this week. He probably won't hold on for victory but a top three finish looks likely.
Leg 4 – Nowra – Race 5: Murphy's Law To Place $1.40
Murphy's Law is stepping up in distance and his recent racing style suggests that this distance will suit and he should have no trouble covering the extra ground. Three starts back he showed a good turn of foot and he was able to assume control early in the race when posting a scorching 30.41 Richmond win and if he reproduces that type of run he will have an enormous lead mid race. The last 50m is a slight concern but I'm confident he should be able to hang on in the closing stages.
