Peter’s Picks – Tuesday 18th February

Ok, so it wasn't the debut I was looking for yesterday, but im going for a chance at redemption. Tuesdays are always busy on the greyhound front, so strap your pads on, get your favourite bat and take a swing at these:

Devonport Race 6 Number 8 Oscar Ralph, 2.03pm

We'll kick things off this afternoon with Oscar Ralph from the outside box. Only a fair beginner, but this far easier than his previous few starts which included the series. Should be decent odds, with the five likely to start favourite, but up in class and with a poor draw, it should come unstuck.

Gawler Race 8 Number 2 Pandora Kist, 2.49pm

One at a bit of value here. Pandora Kist's paper form doesn't look great, but this race has a different look to it. Wonder Whirl has drawn directly outside the selection and likes to use the track and Dyna Gemma is no lid-pinger. I think Hurley's runner gets the right run in the race to lead and will take stopping from there.

Horsham race 6 Number 7 – Noaki Spitfire, 5.32pm

Interesting 570m race with a big variance in the class of the individual runners. Noaki Spitfire is a genuine city class dog and despite his poor recent form, looks pretty comfortable in this race. Only real danger is Gimme fuel, whose never been beyond 515m in its career. Hopefully it will start favourite to give us some value for the seven runner.

Warragul Race 8 Number 8 Five Paws, 9.08pm

Wonderfully drawn out in the pink, Five Paws only ever seems to win when no one thinks it can. There is no speed directly inside, although there is plenty of pace from some of the other runners, but few dogs that can run out the trip. Five Paws is a genuine FFA level sprinter who has $61,000 in the bank. That total should increase tonight with good odds giving us a big collect.

Lismore Race 7 Number 8 Glenreagh Rocket, 8.45pm

With Battistuzzi scratched, Glenreagh Rocket becomes the class runner of the field. He's far tood good for these and despite the wide alley will be very hard to beat. Not sure how much value there will be, but a pretty safe one if looking to take a multi.

BEST OF LUCK
