The (MDC) carnival rolls into this night, with two heats of the MDC regional qualifying series headlining an 11-race program which begins at 7:14pm local time. Australian Racing Greyhound has looked over the card and found a few best bets.

Race 2: Ain’t Waiting (1)

Ain’t Waiting is an accomplished 500m chaser that has dropped back to the Richmond 400m in her last two starts. She won from an awkward box seven last start in good time and now goes into the perfect box for this track and trip. Ain’t Waiting can be a touch tardy at box rise, but if she can get out and hold the fence position, she should be too good for this field.

Black Hug has struggled in better races of late from awkward draws, and his last win was in a very similar race to this one. He draws perfectly down near the fence, although he has only had box two twice in his career. The Chris Green kennel has a wonderful rate at this track in these sorts of races, and Black Hug may well start at juicy double-figure odds with top bookmakers.
