Sandown Greyhounds Tips & Betting Preview March 27th 2014 – Part Two

Race 7 – 595M mixed 4/5 – 9:11PM

In what looks to be a tough race, I think Ema's Princess can turn the tables on Corridor after their encounter here last week. Drawn underneath her opponent this week, Ema's Princess should be able to punch through early and settle in front of Corridor. On the she will take a power of beating.

Corridor tested the clock here last week when running sub 34 seconds. Tonight it will be a much tougher assignment to lead and therefore I believe his chances look limited to a place hope at best.

Duchess Bale is new to the middle distance and staying ranks, but based on her smart 600m Meadows win on Saturday, she will be a key player tonight and in the future. Dyna York might be a nice place bet at Value, you should be able to find around $4.50 or better fixed and he is worth an interest.

Top Four :    2 – 3 – 5 – 6

Suggested Bet:

Trifecta 2,3/2,3,5,6/1,2,3,5,6,7,8 ($30 for $1)

Race 8 – 515M Free For All – 9:35PM

Another race which looks to have some value. There are potentially five possible leaders, which I believe gives a clear advantage to Buckle Up Mason and Premier Event. Both speedsters have enough dash to punch up and hold the lead and if either one is left in front they will take a power of beating.

Innocent Til has been in dazzling form but from out wide he is going to need too much luck to get across. At Even money or a bit better, he looks to be another great lay prospect.

Gold Town has the ability to lead or come from off the speed in his races. Last week he overcame a heap of difficulties to score at and with some luck early tonight he can feature again.

Top Four :    1 – 2 – 6 – 5

Suggested Bet: Buckle Up Mason and Premier Event to win, should be $5 and $14 respectively, shop around the various bookies for the best value.

Race 9 – 715M Mixed 4/5 – 9:55PM

Berry Blitz makes her 700m debut tonight and she has given every indication to date that the trip will suit. In recent runs she has been hitting the line hard over shorter trips. From her good draw, she should get plenty of room early to balance up and make her big move mid race.

Heaps Of Ability is another up and coming staying prospect who possesses a lot more natural early speed than Berry Blitz. If he can step on terms he should find himself a clear leader as they pass the post the first time. The only concern is the last 50m, Berry Blitz may just over power him in the final stages.

Tatty Fields and Boris Sent Me are both always thereabouts and they must be included in your exotic bets. Boris may be a tad under the odds, so if my fancied two can feature there should be some nice dividends with the exotics.

Top Four :    8 – 3 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bet: Berry Blitz and Heaps Of Ability both for the win

Trifecta 2,3,8/4/Field ($15 for $1)

Trifecta 2,3,8/Field/4 ($15 for $1)

Race 10 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:14PM

Stylish Baroque showed plenty of early dash when smartly placed here last week behind Scintillating. With a slow beginner drawn directly underneath, she should have no trouble finding the rails and early lead. When running second here last week she recorded a slick 29.65 and a repeat of that effort sees her win tonight.

Moot Point has been racing in consistent fashion and being armed with a big finish, he should find himself featuring in the result if he can gain an ounce of luck in the early stages.

Oakvale Flyer and Fortuna Allen look to be the only other two winning chances. Oakvale Flyer is hit or miss early and she must hit to have any chance. Fortuna Allen will rely heavily on luck in the initial stages, if she can settle in the top four she will pressure for the winner's .

Top Four:    2 – 8 – 6 – 3

Suggested Bet: Stylish Baroque to win, great chance to load up with the Free $250 at Sportsbet!

Race 11 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:38PM

Crowdza Captive musters pace at a great rate and after her three recent placing's here she should return to the winners list. Eye Smith which is drawn directly underneath moves to the left at box rise which should allow Crowdza Captive to lead and score an all the way win.

Allen Orville races well from inside draws and if he can step cleanly he should find himself settling in the first four as they head through the first turn. The only knock on him is that he tends to find a lot of trouble in his races.

Silver Brodie has the talent to win but crossing from box eight may be beyond him. Man Of Manners was a former top grader, if he can recapture some of his best form he might be a nice place bet.

Top Four :    6 – 1 – 2 – 5

Suggested Bet:

Quinella 6 to Rove with 1,2,5

Trifecta: 1,6/1,2,5,6/1,2,4,5,6,8 ($18 for $1)

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:58PM

The trained High Speed Chase can hopefully get us out on a winning note. This promising speedster has won four of his eight starts to date, with one of those being over this track and journey in a slick 29.47. This race lacks genuine early speed so it's easy to see him making every post a winner.

Dello Bale has scored three of his four career wins from the red box and if he can run his normal 5.15 to the first marker, he should settle in a prominent position early and feature in the finish.

Owen Bale looks to be the run on dog in the race. Having had no luck in his recent efforts, he will be hoping for an ounce of luck initially and if given it, he may be the blowout hope.

Top Four :    3 – 1 – 7 – 8

Suggested Bet: High Speed Chase to win, should get around $3 or better

Quaddies

6/1,2,6,7,8/2,3,5/1,2,5,6,7 ($75 for $1)

6/7,8/2,3,5/1,2,5,6,7 ($30 for $1)

1,2,4,6/7,8/2,3,5/1,2,5,6,7 ($60 for 50c)

Much the same mate, Easton Bale was my best collect and I got him when markets opend at $8.50. Struggled with most other races although the heart started pumping when I saw Dyna Tony going down the back with a 4 length break and I’d got on at the Fair @ 92’s!! It’s okay, only have to wait another day to get it all back at the meadows!!
