Bowl ‘Em Out showed a brilliant turn of foot soon after box rise when on debut here last week and he set the pace for most of the trip before being gunned down in the shadows of the post. With a good getaway tonight he should find the early lead again and he should be able to find the line a little better tonight.

Weston East ran down Bowl ‘Em Out here last week when scoring in a smart 29.59, he is obviously going to prove hard to hold out again but from the wide draw he may get posted a little wide in the early stages. Aces And Angels was airborne in the early stages of her 29.77 heat win, on that occasion she broke five seconds to the first marker and she should be a lot better for the run overall. Vernon Bale rounds out the chances, he has been placed in seven of eight starts to date and he is drawn to be in a prominent position throughout.

Very good race and I think we can find some value in the wide draws. Above All is going to start a short priced favourite off the red but there is plenty of early speed drawn out wide and he may get shuffled back early on. Polly Bale has the speed to cross early and prior to her top placing here last week she posted a dazzling all the way win at The Meadows in a very zippy 30.01. She should get a nice cart across in the early stages and at the $6 mark she is good value.

Scanez Cee has recorded three brilliant placings here in a row and prior to that he had posted back to back wins here over the 515m and 595m journeys. He should match motors with Polly Bale in the early stages and he appears to be improving time wise with every run. He is likely to be around the $8 mark and it may be worth backing them both straight out. Agent Jack is a gun chaser and he should improve on his luckless effort when resuming from a spell. He can be hit or miss early but if he gets some room in the first 50m he should make a big impact. Above All is a star in the making and he is clearly a winning chance, my only concern is that he is going to start at short odds and he will need everything to go his way in the early stages.

Hailstorm Billy has been a tad disappointing in his past three starts but he is stepping back up to a more suitable journey and he is drawn to get all the breaks. He has won two races over this journey previously and he boasts an impressive 34.25 PB, with a couple of railers drawn directly underneath, he should get a nice cart across in the first 50m and that will allow him to settle in a prominent position.

Dyna Orion has a heap of talent and if he can find the rail in the early stages he will take a power of beating, the only knock on him is that he is normally slow to begin and he will need a few things to go his way in the first 50m. Conquer Fear is having his first try over this distance range and he has given every indication that he should have no trouble covering the extra distance. He has scored some slick wins in his brief career and if he found the bunny early he is likely to give a great sight at nice odds. Smart Maxwell has a great record at The Meadows over this distance range and he should be in the mix for a long way, he is likely to be under the odds but he must be included in your exotic bets.

Dyna Perseus is a dead set money muncher and it looks like he is going to suck me in again. I sound like a broken record but this bloke is a super talent when things go his way and this really looks his race. He should be able to settle in the first two or three early and I would expect him to assume control as they pass the post the first time. I would love to see him land on the bunny as I reckon he would be able to post a ridiculous time.

Ima Fairytale loves racing at this track and she has posted three impressive wins in a row over middle distances. This is her first crack at the 700m journey but in her last start 650m win she appeared to hit the line with a fair bit in reserve. Little Red could be the value in the event, her recent form is terrible but she did have strong NSW credentials before crossing to Victoria. Echelonic Action rounds out the chances, he is racing in consistent and career best form and with a clear run in the first 50m he should be able to make his presence felt.

Enchanted Bling is a highly promising prospect and she is making her staying debut tonight. In recent weeks she has scored a strong finished win here over 515m and an all the way win over 595m. Her 595m Victory was super impressive as she hit the line with plenty in hand and she also posted an impressive time of 34.23. There is always some doubt about running out the journey but she gives every indication she can handle it.

Allen Wake was far from disgraced when placed here last week over this journey and this appears to be a drop in class for him, he should settle in the top three early and he is quite strong in the run to the line. Just Ducal caught my eye in his last start placing at , after getting a long way back early he hit the line very hard and was taking a lot of ground off the classy Shall She Rock in the closing stages.

Shot To Bits recently beat the likes of Xylia Allen, and Zipping Maggie in a Three Event at The Meadows and he should have little trouble in accounting for a grade five field tonight. He does meet the talented Blinkers On but I think he will have his measure. Last Saturday night he gave a couple of those staying stars a head start and a beating and he appears to be the real deal.

Blinker's On is the obvious danger and he should fill the quinella spot. His effort last week when placed behind Flying Twist was very impressive and he has scored some wins in his brief career, he can make a lot of mistakes in his races and that is why Shot To Bits has the edge. Beks is a strong finisher and he has been placed in two of his three tries over this journey, I dont like his winning chances but he is a great dog to anchor for second and third in your exotic bets. Love Affair, could be the value in the event, she is showing staying promise and she appears perfectly placed in the pink draw. If she happens to cross and lead she will definitely give them something to catch.

9MAJOR MISSILE [5]Res.87887FSHB Hodgson (Smythesdale)

Bailey Rose has been racing against some of the nation's most elite stayers of late and after having been placed in two of her three tries here she deserves to break through. In late August she turned in two great performances over this journey and although she hasn't won since then, she appears to be a much better stayer now. She should be able to cross from her wide draw and I would expect her to dictate the terms from the outset.

Smouldering Doll has been placed in her past five starts and she appears to be a chaser that can run all day, if she can get out into some open space early she should be a major player for the entire trip. Can Can Hurricane should settle near the speed and he will appreciate the drop in class, he can be hard to follow at times but he has turned in some strong performances at The Meadows over a similar journey. Velocemente rounds out the winning hopes, he is making his staying debut and although his racing pattern indicates that he should run out the journey, I'm still not convinced he is a genuine staying type.

8ZIPPING SNOOPY (NSW)[4]1515729.68(1)P Dapiran (Northwood)

Dyna Ostrander has been desperately unlucky in recent weeks and I expect him to regain some confidence and return to the winners list tonight. Two starts ago he was about to lead the Final before he was dragged down, if he didn't get dragged down, I have no doubts that he would have captured that final. There isn't a whole heap of speed drawn underneath tonight and with a clean getaway he should have enough natural speed to cross.

Lamia Bale has the good draw and she has been racing in great style of late, two starts ago she posted an impressive 29.92 Meadows win when leading all the way and a similar effort tonight would see her feature in the finish. Go Mobo is unbeaten in two tries here and his 29.38 PB makes him a major player, the box draw doesn't help tonight but he does muster speed very quickly in his races and if he can settle in the top three early he should be in the finish. Zipping Snoopy is well placed in the pink and prior to his past two defeats he did score a strong 30.13 Meadows win from this draw.

7CROWDZA CAPTIVE [4]3422229.66(8)K King (Langwarrin)
8HOT WHIRL [4]7163329.74(5)J Sharp (Lara)

Crowdza Captive has only won two times from 23 attempts over this journey, however she has been placed a further 14 times. Her biggest assets are her great box manners and blinding early speed, with slow beginners drawn either side tonight she should get every chance to cross and lead again and it has taken three class acts to run her down in her past three starts here.

Gorham Bale has been placed in his past eight starts and if he is given some clear galloping room mid race he is sure to make his presence felt. The only knock on him is that he is normally slow to begin and he tends to find bother in his races. Bayman Bale has the good draw and he was far from disgraced when placed here last week, from the red he should be able to hold a forward spot early and he may run a big race at good odds. Kiltah Magic is going to be well supported but I'm not convinced about her winning chances, she has a tendency to miss the kick at times and from the middle pin she may get shuffled back in the early stages.

10DR. DES [5]Res.2171429.57(6)W Mcmahon (Darriman)

Lady Goldenpaw is a faultless beginner and I can easily see her crossing and carving up the field in the early stages. She has won here previously in a zippy 29.68 and if she cuts across early she may be able to create enough separation for her to be able to steal the prize.

Rumbling Rick is dropping in class tonight and he should get a nice cart across in the early stages. He has been a little off his game of late but with the class drop he should be able to regain some confidence and make a big impact, however being a Dmac trained chaser, he is likely to be under the odds. Duchess Bale is a very hit or miss early chaser but when she hits she is always hard to hold out, three starts ago she beat a strong field when posting a sizzling 34.21 victory here over 595m. Waymore Blues is the only other winning hope, like Duchess Bale his chances are decided soon after box rise, if he gets away on terms he is a monster chance.

10MONEY COME BACK [5]Res.2311429.47(2)G Selkrig (Devon Meadows)

Jewel Bale is another one of those money munchers but like Dyna Perseus earlier in the night, this really looks to be her race. With a blistering 29.32 PB here, she clearly has the class edge and only bad luck will beat her tonight, again. She has been missing the kick in her most recent efforts but that should help her tonight as there is a fair bit of speed drawn around her and that should allow her to find the rails soon after the start.

Soho Rhythm is well placed out wide and she was far from disgraced when placed here last week, she loves racing over this track and trip and if she can settle in the top two she will take a power of beating. Highbury could be the value in the event, two months ago he was airborne and he posted some impressive wins, he hasn't had much luck since then but I expect him to show some improvement tonight. Strange Wish is a strong place hope in the event, he rarely wins these days but he is never far away and he may be a nice price for the place.

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:52PM

Allen Icarus is racing in great style at present he should go back to back after scoring a well deserved 30.28 Meadows win last week. He is a very reliable beginner and he appears to be getting stronger and stronger with every run. He should have no trouble crossing and he will prove hard to run down as he should be able to get down to the 29.60 mark.

Dyna Fancy is another reliable beginner and she should match motors with Allen Icarus for most of the journey. She races well in this company and there isn't a whole heap of early speed drawn underneath tonight. Her Highness is a classy Tasmanian chaser and she has recently joined the strong Bravo kennel, if she can handle the track at her first look she should be right in the mix.
