Fleet Return resumed from a long spell here last week and he showed a devastating turn of foot when posting an impressive 29.68 victory. His sectionals and overall time were clearly the fastest of the day and if he reproduces that type of effort he should be winning again, the only real concern is that there is a bit of speed on his outside so will need to avoid being crowded.

Melham is a well bred type and he is a member of the strong Thompson kennel. He was slow to begin on debut but he managed to hit the line well and he would have derived a lot of benefit from that run and he should make an impact tonight.

Kinrock Starlet should get plenty of room early from the wide draw and she caught the eye with a smart 29.81 win here last week. She should follow the seven across early and I can see her settling in a commanding position.

Golden is well placed in the red and he showed great improvement to score here last week in 29.89, he has good early speed and he should be right in the mix again.

10KING HUMPTY [7]Res.23314NBTN Schuback ()

Broadway Miss can be hard to follow at times but if she steps cleanly she should be able to hold them out at the first bend and she is a hard chaser to reel in when on the . Last time out she kept colliding with the leader before going down narrowly over this track and trip, I'm expecting her to go one better tonight. If you go back through her form you will notice that she has won here from this draw in a very zippy 29.55.

Yadi is an exciting talent and he powered to the line when scoring here last time in 29.47. With a clear run tonight he is most likely going to score, however he has a pacy beginner on his outside so I'm a little concerned that he might get crowded in the first 50-metres or so.

Sweet Barbados was smartly placed here two runs back and she has the speed to get across into a commanding position early. She isn't overly strong but if she settles in the top two or three she should figure in the placings.

No Holding Back has scored two great Shepparton wins to date and she has speed to burn, she should be in the firing line early but the last 30 or 40-metres may be a slight concern.

Kayda Shae is an exciting prospect and he recently won here in 29.77. On that occasion she showed good early speed but the most impressive part of that win was the middle section in which he posted an eye popping 18.57. If he gains a clear passage in the first 40-metres or so he should be proving far too good for his rivals.

Bruce Tycoon has been racing in great style of late and he loves racing over this track and trip. From the red he should be able to sit just behind Kayda Shae for most of the trip and therefore fill the quinella spot.

Mepunga Tiara is better known over the staying journey but she is suited to an inside draw and she has won over this journey previously, she is likely to settle back in the field but she can run home into a place.

Zell Bale could be the value in the event, he is much better than his form indicates and he should appreciate the slight drop in class.

8DZEKO (QLD)[4]2414541.67(5)A Jackson (Pearcedale)

Wind Whistler is my value bet of the meeting and he is making his staying debut tonight, but he gives every indication that this trip will suit. Two starts back he powered to the line when scoring here over 595-metres in 34.30 and I think he will be able to settle a lot closer to the speed in this race. He should be suited by the empty draw underneath and this isn't an overly strong event, if you can get around the $3 mark with William Hill I think that is nice odds.

Dzeko is ideally placed in the pink draw and she ran the hands off the clock here recently when posting a 41.67. From the good draw she should be afforded a clear run early and if she settles in the top three she will definitely be fighting out the finish.

Ralphy Cinel has good speed and he should lead for a long way, the last 70-metres is a big concern though as he did get very tired in his debut effort over this journey.

Deadly Boy rounds out the chances, he appears suited to this distance range and with his early speed he should be able to put himself into contention at the first bend.

Zambora Magic had been struggling for a while but he has shown great improvement in his past two runs and he is getting very close to another win. Last time out he was narrowly beaten by the classy Quick Succession at Cranbourne and on that occasion he really hit the line well. From the rails draw tonight he should settle near the speed and I think he will prove too strong in the run to the line.

Alpha Zeus went five flat to the first marker here last week and a repeat of that will see him lead at the first bend. He isn't overly strong but if they happen to bunch up behind him he may be able to steal the event.

Allen Malik is a class act when on song and he should be suited in this company. He recorded his slick 29.50 PB here from this draw and with a wide runner drawn on his outside he should be afforded all the breaks earl on.

Pappa Gallo has been a great chaser for quite a while now and he showed with his placing here last week that he is still more than capable. I dont think he can win tonight but he can definitely figure in the placings.

Jewel Bale has been racing in consistent fashion like always and she should get every chance to score tonight. She has been placed in four of five over this journey and she turned in a big performance when placed in her heat last week. There is a fair bit of speed underneath her tonight but that should work in her favour. If she can step on terms she should be able to lob onto the rail and that will allow her to settle in the first half of the field and she will likely prove too strong for her rivals.

Sisco Fiasco is drawn to lead for a long way and she was solidly placed in her heat last week. She got a little tired in the run home but that was her first run over this trip for a while and I'm expecting her to hit the line better tonight.

Oakvale Flyer should match motors with the red for most of the trip and she finally broke through over this trip with a handy 34.38 heat win. She is better when she can lead but I think the red will hold her out, so place claims may be best.

Know Danger rounds out the chances, he charged to the line in his 34.36 heat win last week and if he can avoid trouble at the first bend he should be in the finish again.

9CHASIN MIKADO [5]Res.14116NBTP Jones (Hoddles Creek)

Cosmic Wise has the class edge and with a clean getaway tonight she should prove too fast and classy for her rivals. She recently won the Rookie Rebel over this distance range and this is a big drop in class for her. With three wins from 10 tries and a blistering 33.91 PB, she looks to have a fair bit on her rivals.

Alexis Kelton is an up and coming chaser and she has won four of five over this trip. Last time out she showed brilliant mid-race pace in her 34.33 win here and with a clear run she should make the favourite work hard for victory.

Kiltah Magic has been hard to follow of late but she is better than her form reads and she should show a little more early speed from the red draw. She has broken 34 seconds here previously and if she happens to land on the bunny she will take some catching.

Polly Bale must be included in your exotics, she is racing well and she is never far away over this distance range.

7AMARO BALE (NSW)[4]4147129.30(5)J Hunt (Avalon)
8CAUSTIC BALE (NSW)[3]1153429.21(1)S Collins (Lara)

Azza Azza Azza is a beast and he beat the classy Luca Neveelk over this trip last week. The time wasn't overly impressive but the manner in which he won was. With a keen railer drawn underneath him tonight he should be afforded a clear passage in the early stages and after about 30 or so metres he should go into overdrive. There is a fair bit of depth in this event so you might be able to get around the $3 mark with William Hill.

Caustic Bale has a mammoth engine and with a clear run he should be fighting out the finish. I would prefer him from a rails draw but he does muster well and the three chasers underneath will be looking for the inside, so he should get a fairly clear passage.

Mepunga Armagh could be the value, he has a terrific record over this track and trip and he can ping the lids on occasions. He is likely to be over the odds and he could be worth a saver bet.

Dyna Alchemist is a must for the exotics, he hit the line solidly when placed here last time and with some luck early he should be around the money again.

One Dee is a reliable beginner and she should be able to blaze across and assume control as they head into the first bend. She has a great record here and this appears to be the weakest race that she has contested for a while. She is a very fast chaser when on the lure and there should be no excuses tonight.

Top Secret is another good beginner and he should come across with the six in the early stages, I dont think he can cross the six so the quinella spot appears best.

Benzo Bale can be hard to follow but he does have a heap of talent, he posted his slick 29.50 PB here from a wide draw and he could be the value in the event.

Dynamic Punch rounds out the serious chances. He has been racing in consistent style and with slow beginners on either side he should be afforded a clear run in the early stages.

Midnight Ride is an excitement machine and he recently broke the 500-metre track record at Bendigo with a blistering 27.52 win. He hasn't faired too well with the box draw but he does muster speed extremely quickly and he should be able to assume control as they hit the first bend. If he finds the lure tonight he should be running around the 29.20 mark.

Boxhead finally broke through here last week with a smart 29.45 all the way win and he should be in the firing line for the entire journey again. He meets a highly talented chaser in this but if the six misses the kick he should be there to capitalise.

Julie Bale is a keen railer and she should get a nice sit in the early stages, she will hit the line solidly and she must be kept safe in your exotic bets.

Scintillating can be costly at times but if he is given room in the first 30-metres he could run a big race.

Very tough race but Memphis Jookin' has come up with the good draw and he might be able to lead all the way. Last time out at The Meadows he showed good early speed before finding bother mid-race, however he managed to balance up again and he managed to score in an impressive 30.18. From the red he should get a clear passage and he should get every chance.

Dyna Nihilist is a run-on type and he will be powering to the line, he has a very good record here and this is the weakest race he has contested for a while. He should get a nice run through at the first bend an I'm expecting him to make an impact.

Blue Giant is another run on type and he just needs an ounce of luck early to feature, he is likely to be over the odds and he could be worth a saver bet.

Dr. Don will be well supported and he should give a good sight, he has the speed to lead but I think he will get very tired in the run home.

Billo's Pick continues to impress and he will take a power of beating after he recently posted a blistering 29.87 win at The Meadows. He is having his first look at the track tonight but he showed devastating early speed at The Meadows and he should prove too zippy for his rivals.

Recruitment has turned in some enormous efforts at Wentworth Park in recent weeks and if he happens to get across early he will prove hard to hold out.

Kerrigan Bale is a little hit or miss early but if she pings she is capable of matching it with any chaser going around. She does her best racing here and she could be the value with online bookie William Hill.

Lektra Utopia was never headed in his smart 29.90 win at The Meadows last week and he should give a good sight again. He has the speed to lead and he should give a good sight.

Top Four: 2 – 7 – 3 – 6
