Leg 1 – Wentworth Park – Race 9: Kurmond Goddess To Place $2.10
Kurmond Goddess hasn't won for a little while but she has been racing in solid fashion and she looks very well placed in this lineup. I'm expecting the nine dog, which exits the red to fire to the early lead and she should set a cracking pace, that should allow Kurmond Goddess to rail through and settle in the top three. She is quite strong in the run home and with an ounce of luck she should finish in the top three.
Leg 2 – The Meadows – Race 3: Zipping Geoff To Place (Top Two) $3.10
Zipping Geoff has been racing in much stronger company of late and from the red draw tonight he should get the run of the race. All the early speed is in the two box and he likes to move up the track, so if Geoff can get away cleanly he should be able to drive through and hold a prominent position. He has no trouble covering the trip and with a fairly clear passage he should make his presence felt. He is also worth backing for the win separately as $7 is a big price.
Leg 3 – The Meadows – Race 11: Dyna Shinko To Place $3.25
Dyna Shinko has been racing in great style of late with some strong wins at Ballarat and Geelong over the middle distance, tonight she drops back to the 500m journey but this race has an abundance of early speed engaged and that should work in her favour. I'm expecting there to be at least five chasers challenging for the lead and I'm expecting her to just sit behind them in the early stages. There should be quite a bit of bunching up front and that should allow her to get a dream run through at the first corner. She is currently well over the odds, so it might be worthwhile having a small win bet also.
