Leg 1 – Sale – Race 5: Chopper Whelan To Place $1.67
Chopper Whelan does his best racing over this track and trip and, from the favourable draw, he should get every chance to blaze across and lead at the first bend. He isn't overly strong but this race lacks depth and if he can steal a break at the half way point, he should prove hard to reel in. I'm not overly confident in his winning chances but he does look the likely leader and a top three finish does look likely.
Leg 2 – Sale – Race 8: Lord Diamond To Win $3.20
Lord Diamond is another who is perfectly placed in the pink draw and he is a highly talented chaser when he puts it altogether. Two starts back he was fair to begin but he showed a great turn of foot when posting a slick 25.54 Shepparton win. If he can show a similar display of speed from the wide draw today, he should be able to take over mid race and charge away for an easy victory. He is currently good value at $3.20 as I would expect him to firm late in betting.
Leg 3 – Albion Park – Race 11: Pink Scissors To Place $2.20
Pink Scissors has been a little inconsistent in her brief career to date but she has shown explosive speed in some of her races and the pink draw does look suitable. She should step on terms and with a slow beginner underneath, she should get every chance to whip around and settle in the top three early. She has great mid race speed, so she should put herself in a commanding position mid race and she should be able to take home some minor money. Might also be worthwhile having something extra on her to win.
