The Meadows betting tips & quaddie selections | Saturday, 20/8/22
The Meadows starts at 6:37pm this Saturday night as greyhound punters look to cash in on some of the best greyhounds in Victoria. The quaddie starts at 8:01pm, with the last race of the evening starting at 10:29, a race which sees one of our better bets going around.
BEST BET: PROPELLED (race two)
Karen Pitt prepares this big 37kg dog who will appreciate the cherry draw here.
He can take 100m to position up but once he does his second and third splits are usually very good.
He blitzed them at Sandown Park on JUly 21 after taking the lead and running away with it after the first 100m and before that he was too classy at Traralgon over 500m when running a best of the night time.
On a tighter track at The Meadows his form is just fair but the box is sure to help.
The last two times that he has drawn the red it has resulted in two victories at Healesville and Warragul.
Quick Smart (box two) is the danger for Tim Britton.

NEXT BEST: REINFORCEMENTS (race 12)
From box one we think this daughter of Barcia Bale x Bobby Soxer can lead all of the way.
The last time she drew the red it was an all the way win at Warrnambool and before that from the same box it was an all the way win at Horsham, so the box is the key in this race.
The only query is at her latest start she was just fair when second at Ballarat from box five.
Peter Carter has her going well and she has been in the money nine of 15 so she should be a safe bet to run top three.
Wobbly Boots (eight) has only been in the money once in her last five starts but will run a cheeky race if gets around the first bend untouched.

Race 12 –
Form: 61712 | Career: 15: 5-3-1 | Trainer: Peter Carter
VALUE BET: GOLD FEVER (race one)
Can lead from box three and was luckless last start when sixth.
The greyhounds in boxes one and two don't have a lot of early speed which will help if Gold Fever jumps.
Sher Zany from box one probably has a bigger motor than Gold Fever but is hit or miss at box rise.
Kanji Utility (box four) has been missing the kick which will also assist our selection but she may have to run slightly quicker than her win over this track & distance (30.56) on June 8 when she led all of the way.
