The Meadows betting tips & top odds – Saturday, March 19

The Meadows

Hill Top Jack v Collinda Patty has the potential of being a over the 600m at on Saturday night.

The -trained chaser has been knocking on the door with five placings in a row, and drawing the red is going to be hard to beat.

's Collinda Patty has a tricky box to contend with in six, but she must be respected after her latest win. Early pace in boxes five and seven is a concern.

Race seven looks to be a beauty over the 725m journey, with Overflow Lisa, Flying Lantern and Here's Tears early favourites.

BEST BET: XINMIN BALE

Race 1 – 6:35pm

We will try and get off to a good start in the opening event with the Rebecca Gibbons-trained . The greyhound is a little slow early but if he can rail up and position just behind the leaders on the first turn he can then be too strong to the line. He was second from this box two runs back, running 30.31 which would just about take this out. Since then he got the money from box four in 29.92 after settling fourth after the first split. He was second behind Demon Flyer a month ago who has since won well in town against Saturday class dogs so we think he is a pretty safe bet to run top two.

NEXT BEST: COLLINDA LADY

Race 2 – 6:57pm

This could be a very similar scenario to our best bet. has the red and is strong to the line in her races so again a top two finish is likely. She has moderate early pace but with Ben Charlie drawn next to her which has a slow early section, Collinda Lady may get all the breaks. She will start around even money with 's Winlock Crewe next best at around $6. Collinda Lady won in 30.01 from box three at The Meadows on March 12, and with a slightly better draw we think she can break the 30.00 second barrier in this one.

BEST VALUE: MAELYNN BALE

Race 11 – 10:10pm

She has only won six from 65 starts, so you would want double-figure odds in this one; however, with the lack of early pace in box seven, and having room out in box eight, may just get the room she needs here. She has the ability to run around the 30.45 mark at this track and distance and a repeat of that time should see her in the top four. Each-way is the play here with Maelynn Bale being in the money 30 times from 65 runs. The last time she had box eight here she ran fifth (checked) but before that led and ran a cheeky third on November 10.
