The Meadows greyhounds betting tips

Team Dailly will present 19 greyhounds to race at on Saturday night, with many of those lining up as major chances to win. Race one starts at 6:24pm, with the last closing the program at 10:24pm. The first looks to be an open race, but a close eye must be kept on the runner, Mepunga Tess, who looks to have a bright future.

BEST BET: My Neo (Race 3)

We are counting on to lead all of the way in this event. He has excellent acceleration after box rise and did win from this draw last week in 29.86. In this dog's last five races he has led to the first section and in a final that is a huge if he steps again. He got the money here in 29.87 on April 14 which proves that last week's win was not a one off but he will likely need to improve another length or two again, and we think he can considering the nice draw in one. He has been backed into favouritism in his last four starts and will again likely start favourite, but punters will know they will get a run for their money with this one – and hopefully a trouble free one, at that. He is a winner having won 11 of 21 starts.

NEXT BEST: Zara's Ivan (Race 8)

There may be a bit of trouble in this race on the first turn, so having box one is an advantage in this race. He comes back from Sydney, where he ran well, but he was starting a little slower over there. His last two starts from this draw resulted in two placings at , and both times he around third after the first sectional. He does seem to start better from inside draws.

BEST VALUE: Rufus Scrimgeour (Race 11)

This guy gets the gun draw in box one, and with the main danger in box two having early pace, he may be able to follow him through and sit just behind him. The last time this dog had box one he ran an excellent third at Park in good time (29.62) so the draw is a big bonus. He has been tardy away in his last three starts, which is a slight concern, so the first 75m is very important here. Aston Elanor is the obvious danger.
