The Meadows greyhound tips & best bets for July 16, 2022
The Meadows will host a 12-race card on Saturday evening where heats of The Fireball and Maturity Classic take centre stage this weekend. ARG presents our best bets and quaddie numbers for the card getting underway at 6:27pm AEST, with the quaddie commencing at 7:49pm AEST.
BEST BET: JARICK BALE (Race 2)
Jarick Bale is going for a hat-trick of box one wins after winning well from the red on April 30 at The Meadows over 600m and The Gardens on June 4 over the 715m journey. The Mark Delbridge trained stayer has missed out his last couple when running fourth and sixth but from his favourite draw he should improve. He has won 28 of 74 starts and has amassed over $400,000 in prizemoney now and although he isn't gifted with a lot of early pace, he should be able to burrow underneath them. He never leads in his races which we suppose is a slight concern.

This black bitch runs extremely well when she leads and we think she is capable of that in this field. Red Reactor (box six) returns from Sydney for Daniel Pell but can miss it a length which may open up the race for the daughter of Feral Franky x Ethla Allen. At Sale last start, McKeon Bale led and then was captured but fighting back hard down the straight for a nice win. She has had 10 starts in as many weeks for Daniel Gibbons and is super fit. Plagiarise for Brooke Ennis will be a definite danger from the draw.

BEST VALUE: DUSTY BOURBSKI (Race 11)
Dusty won't be huge odds but he should be overs considering he has only placed once in his last four attempts. We know he is better than that and from box one will give this race a big shake. The last time he had box one resulted in a nice win at Sandown Park after settling second but since then he has been getting well back in his races which is a slight concern. His last win at this track and distance was in best of the night time (29.99) and a repeat of that, would win this.
