The Meadows greyhound tips & best bets for July 2, 2022
It will be a cold wintry night at The Meadows on Saturday, but that won't stop punters tuning in to the 12-race program. Race one gets underway at 6:37pm over 600m with Tim Britton having two key chances engaged. The quaddie legs kick off at 7:57pm, while the last race of the night concludes at 10:33pm. Keep reading for ARG's best bets and quaddie picks.
BEST BET: MCINERNEY (Race 4)
This son of Fernando Bale x Born Ali has missed the jump his last two, but if he can rectify that from box eight, he might just get more room to move and prove too strong. He is a winner of 15 from 43 for Brendan Pursell and he did put in a few handy times at Sandown Park without winning recently. His latest win was at Sandown Park on May 5, when he jumped to the lead to win well. The first 100m in this race will be important and we think the wide box may suit here; in fact, the last three times this dog has led, it has resulted in two wins and a second.

NEXT BEST: MISS WORLD (Race 1)
This daughter of Zamboro Brockie x Xtreme Notice comes into this race after going down over the final 10 metres after leading most of the way last time. She had box one on that occasion and we cant see why she won't lead again from box two. She should be stronger to the line, this time being her second go over the 600m distance. She ran 35.07 here last week and we think she can break the 35-second barrier in this one. First Picked and Mr Deeds have to be respected but are not gifted with early pace, which suits our runner who is drawn in between those greyhounds
