Jordan Allen caught the eye with an all the way win here last week in 30.01 and with a similar getaway tonight he should be able to repeat the dose. He is normally quite reliable early and he musters pace quickly so he should have sufficient speed to cross the red in the early stages. This is a pretty weak race so if he finds the bunny it’s hard to see him getting run down whilst running 30 flat on the bunny.
Lektra Brave was far from disgraced when placed behind Jordan Allen last week and he must be respected again, unlike Jordan Allen he can miss the kick at times so from the middle pin he will need to get away cleanly.
Bottom Dollar is a class act when on song and he turned in a great effort when placed at Cranbourne two runs back, he has proven in his career that when given room to muster he is capable of reeling off very impressive sectionals.
Crackerjack Rose rounds out the chances, she has a great record here and she does possess enough speed to settle in the top three early.
Top Four: 2 – 5 – 6 – 4
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Jordan Allen with Sportingbet

This is the first heat of the Silver Chief and it should be a cracker, I’ve gone with WA visitor Tureaud. He comes here having won nine of his 13 career starts and he has set the Cannington track alight in some of those victories. I dont think he has seen the track but if he can handle the first bend he should be good enough to score and he should continue to improve throughout the series.
Quasi Bale is a very fast chaser and with a clear run he will take a power of beating, the concern with him is that he can be slow to begin and he has a heap of pace drawn around him.
Ikaku Bale is the interesting runner, after a luckless debut run here he made significant improvement with a sizzling 30.01 victory here, if he can reproduce that type of effort he will be right in the mix, it’s worth noting that he is $100/1 all in for the final with some bookmakers and if he continues to improve he could be the smokey for the series.
Left Is Right is the most reliable beginner in the event and he returned to form with a top 29.69 Sandown win, he should get a clear run early and he should run a big race.
Top Four: 4 – 7 – 2 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bets on Tureaud and Left Is Right with Sportigbet
Boxed Quinella: 2,4,6,7 ($6 for 100%)

Dyna Alchemist showed a return to form last time out when placed behind gun sprinter Clash Of Kings last time out and he should be able to go one better tonight. His box manners arent great but he does muster speed at a rate of knots and if given room in the first 30m he will take a power of beating.
Tiggerlong Await is an exciting prospect and he was a strong 30.19 winner here two runs back, I strongly believe he is capable of getting down to the 29.90 mark when given a clear run and if the seven and eight dont come across too quickly he should get every chance to show that type of form.
Dawkins Bale continues to impress and he is drawn to get a nice cart across early, his 29.87 win here two runs back was spectacular and if he is allowed a clear passage through the first bend he should be in the finish.
Weston East has the good draw but he is likely to settle back in the field early, he is quite strong and he must be included in your exotic bets.
Top Four: 3 – 6 – 8 – 1
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Dyna Alchemist with Sportingbet
Quinella: 3 to rove with 1,6,8 ($3 for 100%)

This is probably the weakest heat of the lot and if Dyna Norfolk can anticipate the start he might get the cash at nice odds. With a wide runner on his outside, the middle pin shouldn’t pose too many problems and he has been placed in two of his three tries here. He has proven in his career to date that when he finds the bunny early he can run some serious time, so I reckon tonight might be his night at nice odds.
Charleston was solidly placed in his metro debut last time out and he should have derived a lot of benefit from that run. Prior to that effort he had posted two brilliant Ballarat wins and on each occasion he gave the indication that he will be better suited to this journey.
Quantum bale has plenty of gears and he will be steaming home at the end, from box six he will need a few breaks but he is too good to dismiss.
Amaro Bale has the coveted red draw and he is an improving type, he is likely to settle back in the field but he will finish strongly and he must be included in your exotics.
Top Four: 4 – 7 – 6 – 1
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Dyna Norfolk with Sportingbet
Exacta: 4,6,7/1,4,6,7 ($9 for 100%)
Quinella: 4 to rove with 1,6,7 ($3 for 100%)

Great race and logic says to tip Above All, however I think he might be a little flat after his devastating Hobart Thousand Win and I believe Droopy’s Bentley can cause an upset. Droopy’s Bentley scored a blistering 25.13 Shepparton win two runs back and he followed that effort up with a top placing here last week. He is capable of going around the 29.85 mark on the bunny and I think that should be enough to get the job done.
Above All is a an absolute freak and his Hobart Thousand win was probably the best win I have seen for quite some time, he made a gun lineup look like a bunch of grade five chasers, if he brings that form tonight then he wins with ease, however I believe the travelling might take a bit out of him and he is a risk at the short odds.
Bay Boy Sniper set the track alight in his 29.83 trial effort here last week and a similar effort tonight will see him test the two favourites.
Dyna Vickers is a real up and comer and his placing here last week was super, he is likely to get back early but he can finish on strongly into a place.
Top Four: 6 – 1 – 2 – 4
Suggested Bets:
Win bets on Droopy’s Bentley and Bad Boy Sniper with Sportingbet
Quinella: 6 to rove with 1,2,4 ($3 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,2,6/1,2,4,6 ($9 for 100%)

Dyna Yemen is an enormous talent but he has looked a little off at his past couple, however I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and I believe he can bounce back to his best. The wide draw shouldn’t pose too many problems and he has won here previously in a blistering 29.87, if given a clear passage in the first 50m he should put a space in them.
Fleetwood Zac isn’t a star but he is honest and he has the good draw, two starts back he led all the way at Sandown in 29.64 and a similar effort tonight would probably see him lead for most of the journey.
Opus Forte is a classy NSW speedster and he has scored two dazzling Richmond wins of late, if he can handle the track he will prove extremely hard to hold out.
Benzo Bale is very unreliable but when he has bounced on the bunny in the past he has scored some slick wins, from the rails draw he should get a clear run early and he may cause an upset.
Top Four: 7 – 1 – 3 – 2
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Dyna Yemen with Sportinget
Trifecta: 7/1,2,3/Field ($18 for 100%)

Very open affair and it’s hard to look past Zipping Ryan after he scored a devastating 23.60 Bendigo win last time out, on that occasion he showed a blistering turn of foot soon after the start and once he found the bunny he went into overdrive, from the red tonight he should be able to hold them out and he will take some catching.
Dyna Quirk is a real up and comer and he caught the eye with a slick 30.14 win here last week, his box manners arent great but he musters quickly and he should continue to get stronger with every run.
Clash Of Kings has the class edge and he returned to form with a top 29.98 win here last week, if he can step cleanly again he should be able to make an impact, he is much better from a rails draw but he is way too good to dismiss.
Glock is the run on type in the event, he has failed to deliver on his early promise but if there is a mix up near the lead he is still good enough to run over the top late.
Top Four: 1 – 2 – 7 – 5
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Zipping Ryan with Sportingbet
Exacta: 1,2/1,2,5,7 ($6 for 100%)

Dyna Villa is an absolute star and the reigning Melbourne Cup champ should make light work of these, however I do have a small concern with him. Like Above All he is coming up a tough trip to Tassie and he may be a little flat, if he is off his game tonight, the red may make him work very hard for victory.
Quarrel Bale is perfectly placed in the red and he has turned in some monster efforts at Ballarat of late, he is normally slow to begin but from the red he should settle a little closer to the speed than normal and he may run over the top of them as they round for home.
Gunloch hasn’t had much luck since his impressive 29.98 win here and he will be looking to improve tonight, with a slow beginner on his outside he should be afforded all the breaks as they head into the first bend. Usain I’m Nutty could be the value for the place, he is likely to settle mid pack but he is armed with a strong finish and he is getting better with every race start.
Zeppelin Bale is more than capable and he must be respected at odds also, he led all the way at Sandown last time in 29.54 and a repeat effort tonight will see him be competitive.
Top Four: 7 – 1 – 4 – 8
Suggested Bets:
Win bets on Quarrel Bale and Gunloch with Sportingbet
Boxed Quinella: 1,4,7,8 ($6 for 100%)

Go Mobo is dropping considerably in class tonight and he should lead from go to whoa, last time out at Geelong he stepped cleanly and scored a commanding 29.94 win. If he can produce a similar effort tonight he should be able to build up a nice lead mid race and it’s hard to see them reeling him in.
Classy Boy has been racing well and he is armed with a big finish, he can make a lot of mistakes in his races but if the gaps open up at the right time he will be right in the mix at the end.
Reen’s Fabian has a great record here and he is in good form, if he can get across in the early stages he can make an impact, he does possess good speed so he should be able to settle in the top two early.
Optimus Bart rounds out the hopes, he is very strong and he should get a nice cart across from Reen’s Fabian in the early stages.
Top Four: 2 – 4 – 6 – 7
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Go Mobo with Sportingbet
Exacta: 2/4,6,7 ($3 for 100%)

Duomo Bale appears to be the real deal and he is unbeaten in his two tries here. In his brief career to date he has shown smart early speed and apart from the pink this race doesn’t feature a lot of early speed.
Izzey Bale beat a classy type here last week in 29.92 and that type of effort would see him figure prominently again, the only concern with him is that he doesn’t box that well and he will need some room in the first 30 or so meters.
Midnight Flynn comes here with strong country form and if he can handle the extra journey he shouldn’t be too far away, his effort at Shepparton two starts back when scoring in 25.29 was ultra impressive.
Top Four: 7 – 4 – 2 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Duomo Bale with Sportingbet
Quinella: 7 to rove with 2,4,6 ($3 for 100%)

One of the stronger heats with six genuine winning hopes, I’m going with the explosive Caustic Bale, he has the potential to be the state’s best sprinter and if he can fix his box manners he could go with any chaser in the land. Three starts back he set the Ballarat track alight with a blistering 25.04 win and he does have experience here so he should be able to handle the track.
Ballerino is unbeaten in four tries here and he managed to break the 30 second barrier in his last victory, he is armed with early speed and he appears to be the likely leader.
Dyna Double Dee scored a ridiculous 29.81 win here last week and he is showing enormous potential, I’m not convinced about his early speed but if he gets room early he should be right in the mix.
Prescribe is a gun Tasmanian chaser and he trialled quickly here last week, he should be able to settle in the top three early and he could cause an upset.
Top Four: 2 – 5 – 7 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Caustic Bale with Sportingbet
Boxed Quinella: 2,5,6,7 ($6 for 100%)

Smoken Jimmy is a class act when on song and he has scored some sizzling wins in his brief career to date, from the red he should be able to hold a forward spot early and if he can hold them out he should be running some time on the bunny.
Crackerjack Max is aiming for a hat trick of wins and he continues to go from strength to strength, with a couple of slow beginners on his outside he should get a fairly clear passage early and he should be able to make an impact.
Ultima Bale has the class edge and he scorched around Warragul last time out, he is better suited to a rails draw but he has genuine speed once he hits the ground and he should be able to overcome some minor difficulties early in the race.
Top Four: 1 – 2 – 7 – 8
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Smoken Jimmy with Sportingbet
