Soda Lad is an exciting prospect and he comes here after winning two of his first three at Shepparton and both wins have been in sizzling times. He is armed with brilliant early speed and with a clean getaway tonight he should be able to lead from go to whoa and with a clear passage he should be able to post an impressive overall time.
Bowl ‘Em Out is another promising speedster and he really caught the eye when scoring here last time in 30.14, on that occasion he was able to lead throughout, I don’t think he will be able to cross the red so the quinella spot looks best tonight.
Virginia Rose has been placed in seven of her past eight starts with two of those being victories, she can be a little hit or miss early but if she settles in a prominent spot she could give the two favourites something to think about.
No Diggity rounds out the chances, she is rising in class tonight but she has the good draw and she has speed to burn.
Top Four: 1 – 6 – 4 – 8
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Soda Lad with William Hill

Allen Quarian is a great talent when switched on and he appears drawn to be a major factor, he hasn’t had a lot of luck in recent runs but four starts back he did post a strong 30.58 Cranbourne win and a repeat of that will see him figure prominently. The rails draw is a big advantage tonight and if he can settle in the top three early he will prove too strong in the run home.
All Bar One showed great early speed in her strong 30.16 win here two runs back and she is unbeaten in two starts over this track and trip, there is a fair bit of speed underneath her tonight but if she steps well she should have the speed to get across at the first bend.
Cosmic Tate could be the value, he has scored some great wins on the provincial circuit to date and he is armed with a great turn of foot soon after box rise. There is some concern that he may struggle to get the journey but he should still give a great sight.
Cadence Bale and Pretty Boy Grigg round out the chances, if they swapped draws both would be top chances, however from their poor draws tonight they will need a lot of things to go their way.
Top Four: 1 – 6 – 5 – 8
Suggested Bets:
Each Way bet on Allen Quarian
Boxed Quinella: 1,5,6,8 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,5,6/1,5,6,8 ($9 for 100%)
Trifecta: 1/5,6,8/Field ($18 for 100%)

Fratelli Fresh is racing in rare form at present and she should prove very hard to hold out from the red. Last time out she reeled off blistering sectionals when winning at Bendigo in 27.81 and if she can hold a top three spot early she should prove too good for them. She won’t be flashy odds tonight so it may be best to anchor her on top in your exotics.
Sam Harper is a classy chaser and in recent months he has been absolutely flying, he has won three on the trot in strong company on the provincial circuit and if he can avoid early bother he will take a power of beating. I would prefer him from a rails draw but he is going too well to ignore.
Dyna Keitaro can be hard to follow at times but there is no denying his talent, four starts back he destroyed a handy lineup when scoring at Sandown Park in a sizzling 29.32 and if he reproduces that effort he will feature at nice odds.
Zeppelin Bale must also be respected, he doesn’t win very often these days but he has been racing in stronger company and he does have a good record here, with some luck early he could add value to your exotic bets.
Top Four: 1 – 6 – 8 – 4
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Fratelli Fresh with William Hill
Boxed Quinella: 1,4,6,8 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,6,8/1,4,6,8 ($9 for 100%)

Lunar Eclipse absolutely roared around this circuit last week when posting a breathtaking 29.78 and from the red he should get every chance to reproduce that type of effort. His box manners aren’t great but he does muster speed at a rate of knots and if he can push through and lead he will break away mid race. He appears to be getting better with every run and he should continue to work his way through the ranks.
Boxhead is drawn to get the run of the race and he should sit on the hammer of the red for most of the journey, I don’t think he can reel him in but he should be good enough to grab the quinella spot.
Hanging In There has won three on end in fine style and his sectionals are super competitive, I think he will have trouble crossing the red tonight but if he can sit outside him early he should be able to hold on for some minor money.
Cosmic Yap is probably the only other chance, I don’t think he can win but he hit the line strongly in his heat and if there is trouble up front tonight he could run home into a place again.
Top Four: 1 – 2 – 4 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Lunar Eclipse
Boxed Quinella: 1,2,4,6 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,2/1,2,4,6 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 1/2,4,6/Field ($18 for 100%)
1st: $6,120 2nd: $1,750 3rd: $875.

Coulta Rock is dropping considerably in class and he should get all the breaks from his good draw tonight. He is normally a very reliable beginner and he showed great early and mid race speed when placed here last week. If he can drive across and lead tonight he should be able to set up a nice lead mid race and he should prove too strong from his rivals.
Beks is the clear and obvious danger, he loves racing over this track and trip and he is extremely strong, my only concern with him tonight is that he is drawn poorly as he will be looking to get wide at the first bend. If he can gain a clear passage through the first turn he should be right in the mix at the end.
Mepunga Tiara is better than her recent form reads and she has the speed to lead them up, she is likely to be around the $6 mark tonight and she could be worth an each way ticket if you’re looking for value.
Coral has returned to racing in good style and she is ready for this staying test, she meets some good ones tonight but with a clear run she should handle herself quite well.
Top Four: 8 – 1 – 5 – 7
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Coulta Rock
Boxed Quinella: 1,5,7,8 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,5,8/1,5,7,8 ($9 for 100%)
Trifecta: 8/1,5,7/Field ($18 for 100%)

Lektra Outlaw is racing very well at present and from the red draw I can easily see him leading throughout. Last time out he showed terrific early and mid race speed before scoring at Sandown in 29.59 and he tends to race better here, so if he finds the lure tonight he should be running sub 30 seconds.
Repayments is likely to start favourite and he is unbeaten here in three runs, the only concern with him is that he can miss the kick on occasions and he may get squeezed out in the initial stages, with a clear run he is a major threat.
Lektra Utopia is armed with good early speed and he must be respected, he scored a strong 30.06 win here three runs back and he should match motors with the red for most of the journey tonight.
Quarrel Bale can be costly at times but there is no doubting his talent, from the awkward draw he is likely to find bother again but if he somehow flukes a gap mid race he could get the cash at good odds.
Top Four: 1 – 4 – 5 – 3
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Lektra Outlaw with William Hill
Exacta: 1,4,5/1,3,4,5 ($9 for 100%)
Boxed Quinella: 1,3,4,5 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 1/3,4,5/Field ($18 for 100%)

Deadly Vane didn’t have a lot of luck in his middle distance debut at Sandown and I’m expecting a better performance tonight. He isn’t the best of beginners but he does have a devastating turn of foot, from the pink he should get every chance to utilise that speed and he should be able to carve across and assume control at the first bend. If he finds the lead he should be able to break away mid-race and that should be enough to score at each way odds.
Quasi Bale is the clear danger and he is expected to start a short priced favourite. Two starts back he destroyed a gun lineup when he captured the Richmond Derby and he does look well placed in the red tonight, he is the best chaser in the field but I think he will be very short tonight and I think the pink will be value.
Weblec Belle is making her middle distance debut and if she gets away she should run a big race, he box manners can let her down at times but she can whip around them at the first bend and if she settles in the top three she should be quite strong in the run to the line.
Top Four: 8 – 1 – 5 – 3
Suggested Bets:
Win bets on Deadly Vane and Weblec Belle
Exacta: 1,8/1,3,5,8 ($6 for 100%)
Quinella: 8 to rove with 1,3,5 ($3 for 100%)
Trifecta: 8/1,3,5/Field ($18 for 100%)
1st: $6,260 2nd: $1,790 3rd: $890.

Elfen Bale is a very reliable beginner and she appears to be getting better and stronger with every run, she is suited to the wide draw tonight and she has won four of six over this journey. There is absolutely no speed drawn underneath her tonight so if she steps cleanly she should be able to get across and hold the pink out early. She is a very fast chaser when on the lure and I think she will give a great sight.
Quantum Bale should follow the seven across early and they should have a great battle, I think he is a better dog when he can lead and that’s why I have given the edge to the seven, there shouldn’t be too much between them when they hit the line and it looks to be a nice quinella.
Ollie Bale has a great record here and if he can avoid early bother he won’t be far away at the end, the box draw is a big concern tonight but there is no doubting he is capable of winning this with a clear run.
Nockabout Aussie is in the same boat, he is a huge talent but he relies heavily on luck in running, he will likely settle back in the field tonight but he can run home and grab some minor money.
Top Four: 7 – 8 – 5 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Elfen Bale
Quinella: 7 to rove with 5,6,8 ($3 for 100%)
Exacta: 7,8/5,6,7,8 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 7/5,6,8/Field ($18 for 100%)
Trifecta: 7,8/7,8/Field ($12 for 100%)

Splash Mountain has come up with the good draw tonight and I think he can turn the tables on Sugar Lips after they went head to head here two weeks ago. On that occasion Sugar Lips held him out and she was able to hold her margin in the run to the line, tonight he should have the speed to hold Sugar Lips out and therefore he should run away with the prize.
Adam Handler is the danger in my eyes, he is flying at present and he looked very impressive when winning her in 30 flat last time out. The draw isn’t great but he did exit this draw when winning last time so with another clean getaway he should put himself into contention at the first bend.
Penance Allen is the run on type in the event, she turned in a strong effort when placed here two runs back and prior to that she charged home to score at Sandown. She will get too far back early to win but she is a must for your exotic bets.
Top Four: 1 – 6 – 5 – 2
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Splash Mountain
Boxed Quinella: 1,2,5,6 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,6/1,2,5,6 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 1/2,5,6/Field ($18 for 100%)

One Dee is normally a very reliable beginner and she should be able to assume control at the first bend tonight. She has been smartly placed in her past few runs at Shepparton and she has won here previously in a very slick 29.96. There are a couple of handy ones in this event but if she can find the early lead she will prove very hard to reel in.
Cosmic Wise has the class edge and with clear running she will probably win, however from the six draw she will need a lot of things to go her way in the early stages and she tends to race best when she can dictate the terms, this is a drop in class for her though, so she can’t be dismissed even if she does find bother.
Zell Bale could be value, he is much better than his form indicates and he does tend to race well here, I’m not convinced he is a winning chance but he could be good value for the place.
Crackerjack Rose rounds out the chances, she should get a nice cart across early and she has good early speed. She has won four of 15 here with a further six placing’s and she has raced well from wide draws in the past.
Top Four: 5 – 6 – 7 – 4
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on One Dee
Quinella: 5 to rove with 4,6,7 ($3 for 100%)
Exacta: 5,6/4,5,6,7 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 5/4,6,7/Field ($18 for 100%)

Billo’s Pick has excelled since coming from NSW and he should open up his account in town with ease. From the wide draw he should get plenty of room to balance up early and with a speedy beginner in box seven he should get a nice cart across. He has run fast times at Lismore over this distance range and he appears to have found a few lengths since then, so with an ounce of luck at the first bend he should be winning.
Jamiela Twist has plenty of talent but she can be hard to follow at times, from the red draw she should begin a little better than normal and if she can settle in the first three she will be very strong in the run to the line.
Angel Of Music has the speed to lead and she is a must for the exotics, she has been placed in two of three here and she runs a dynamic 400-metres before getting tired, she will get reeled in but she should snag some minor money.
Exuberant is in good hands and he will be well fancied, he was a good winner here three runs back but my concern with him is that he can bomb the start at times.
Top Four: 8 – 1 – 3 – 2
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Billo’s Pick with William Hill
Boxed Quinella: 1,2,3,8 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,8/1,2,3,8 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 8/1,2,3/Field ($18 for 100%)

King Surfa is an absolute speed demon and he will look the winner for most of the journey, however he can stitch up in the home straight. He will probably be around the $3 mark tonight and I’m willing to take the chance that he can hang on for victory. He has had three runs from a spell and he should be ready for this assignment.
Aces And Angels also has high speed and if he gets across early he will take a power of beating, he has won three of his past four impressively and he should be there at the end.
Maximum Chez is another with early speed and she should be suited to the wide draw, I’m a little concerned about the speed around her tonight but if she pushes through early she is good enough to score and she will be good value.
Ozzy Bale is the run on type in the event and he is dropping in class tonight, he should get a nice run through at the first turn and he could be a good anchor for second and third in your exotics.
Top Four: 1 – 2 – 7 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on King Surfa
Trifecta: 1,6,7/2/Field ($18 for 100%)
Trifecta: 1,6,7/Field/2 ($18 for 100%)
Quinella: 1 to rove with 2,6,7 ($3 for 100%)
