The Meadows greyhound tips & quaddie picks | Saturday, April 30
THE Meadows Greyhound Club hosts a 12-race card on Saturday night with two high quality “free for all” races highlighting the evening.
Champion stayer, Gypsy Wyong, returns for Team Dailly and will be prominent over the 600m free for all, while Melbourne Cup runner, Orlando, returns after a quality win last start and he will be racing over the 525m journey but from a tricky box five draw.
The first race commences at 6:35pm.
Best Bet: DUSTY BOURBSKI
Race 12
WE are counting on “Dusty” in the last race of the night. He was a beaten favourite last start when third at this track and distance (30.50) but has a better draw (box two) this time. When he had box two at Sandown Park five starts back it was an excellent win in a more than handy 29.45. The week prior, he also had box two and flew home at the same track and distance for a nice second in 29.86. On April 7 it was a brilliant best of the night win at Sandown Park in 29.23. He obviously loves that place but if he can shave a couple of lengths off his 30.50 run here recently, he should be in the top three.

Next Best: AMBROSE BALE
Race One
AMBROSE Bale just missed out for us last Saturday night, running yet another placing. His 5.23 first sectional probably cost him in the end but he has gone 5.14 before so if he can repeat that then he's in this up to his ears. His time of 30.42 last week when third was quite good but the slight concern is the one win from 27 attempts. The last time he had box three was at this track and distance and it was third in 30.53. This dog is rock hard fit now and is worth another chance if he gets near each-way odds.

VALUE BET: UFORO BALE
Race Three
WE are counting on Uforo Bale to lead this race from a favourbale box one draw. The 35 kilogram chaser has good early speed but the only concern is the last 75m of the 525m journey. He has done most of his racing over the shorter distances and his wins at Horsham were excellent two months ago over the 410m course. The favourites in this race have tricky draws in boxes four and five so we feel this fellow may be overs. He would have to lead to win more than likely, and if he can rail up underneath the two, who also has good early pace, he should be in this for a long way.
