The Meadows Greyhounds Tips & Betting Preview April 26th 2014

Race 1 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:12PM

The trained Allen Gravion should get us off to a flying start. Two of his three career wins have come from this draw and he beat the in form Hexcen Bale here earlier this month. He should get every chance from the red alley.

Freesia Bale and Rumero Reason are the two run on types but from wide draws they will be relying on luck in the early stages. Tiger Toy had no luck here last time and he can make amends at odds.

Top Four: 1 – 6 – 7 – 8

Suggested Bets: Win bet on Allen Gravion, rove in quinellas with 6,7,8.

Race 2 – 600M Grade 5 Final – 7:35PM

Good Odds Demon was far from disgraced in his Victorian debut here last week and I think he would have benefited from his first look at the track. If you go back through his NSW form you will notice that he has scored numerous sub 30 second wins, he is well graded tonight.

Dyna York made up for a string of luckless efforts with two smart wins here on the trot. Tonight he has drawn favourably in the pink and he should be a major player again. Rockin' Josie is very talented but she can make mistakes early, if she gets through the first turn she can cause an upset.

Top Four: 6 – 8 – 3 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 6/3,7,8/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 6,8/3,6,7,8/Field ($36 for $1)

Race 3 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:57PM

Banged Up Bill is an exciting talent who is improving his racing manners with every run. Tonight he should be able to get a nice sit behind early leader Promise Buying and I would expect him to prove far too strong in the run to the line.

The well drawn Promise Buying should punch through and hold the early lead, if she can repeat her 30.43 winning effort here recently, she should be in the mix for a long way. Wait Til Dark has the ability to win but he does make a lot of mistakes in his races.

Top Four: 2 – 1 – 4 – 8

Suggested Bets: Win bet on Banged Up Bill, quinella with Promise Buying.

Race 4 – 525M Grade 5 – 8:20PM

Pippa Shiraz is normally a very reliable beginner and she has a solid record at this venue. With a slow beginner drawn directly outside her, she should be able to muster to the early lead and with some shuffling behind at the first bend, I expect she will slip away with the prize.

Zambora Storm has been racing in dazzling form on the provincial circuit of late and I'm sure he will pick up a metro win in the near future. Tonight he is well placed but my only concern is that he is having his first look at the track and it can be tough going from the wide draw at .

Top Four: 4 – 8 – 1 – 6

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Pippa Shiraz and Zambora Storm.

Race 5 – 525M Mixed 4/5 – 8:38PM

Bogner Bale has been a little disappointing in his past two runs but tonight he has come up with the rails draw and he should return to his best. Three starts ago he was never headed in a slick 30.01 win here and a repeat of that will see him get the cash comfortably.

If the favourite happens to make a mistake, the sometimes hard to follow Yoda Bale may capitalise and cause an upset. He has broken 30 seconds here previously and he can ping the lids at times. Worth a saver bet at double figures.

Top Four: 1 – 3 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 1/2,3,4/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 1,3/1,3/Field ($12 for $1)

Exacta: 1,3/1,2,3,4 ($6 for $1)

Race 6 – 600M Mixed 4/5 – 8:57PM

I think we can find some value in this event. Awesome Project steps up in distance but the rails draw doesn't really suit. Bazza's Gift also steps up in distance and is armed with early speed. I expect him to be able to find the early lead and he has the line well enough over 500m to suggest that the extra journey won't be too difficult.

Supersonic Hawk hit the line solidly when scoring here last week in 34.87 and he should be a major player again. I have left Dream It out of my tips as I expect him to be scratched. Awesome Project is obviously a chance but I'm willing to risk him at the short odds. Stealthy Dancer has small claims at odds.

Top Four: 5 – 8 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bets: Win bet on Bazza's Gift, rove in quinella with 1,3,8.

Race 7 – 725M Mixed 4/5 – 9:20PM

Rebelation has been racing in consistent form and he should appreciate the drop in class tonight. He should have sufficient early speed to lead and he appeared to hit the line quite solidly in his 42.16 Park win. In that win he managed to hold off promising stayer Bekim .

Becci Leone was far from disgraced in her recent placing here and I expect her to be in the mix again. In that effort she appeared to weaken a little in the final stages and with another run under her felt she should find the line better.

Top Four: 3 – 4 – 1 – 2

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Rebelation ($2.80 or better is big over's).

Race 8 – 525M Free For All – 9:40PM

Class act Iona Seven returns to the track and she should be given every chance to win first up. There are two railers drawn directly underneath and if she can step on terms, she should drive to the early lead and power away.

Fort Allen is expected to carve across in the initial stages and he will match motors with Iona Seven for most of the trip. His last 40 is always a concern, but there should be some shuffling up behind him, which will allow the two leaders to establish a solid break. Tyronimo and Cornelius Fudge can run home into the placings.

Top Four: 8 – 7 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Iona Tokyo.

Race 9 – 525M Grade 5 – 10:05PM

Little Regus is a finalist in the so I expect him to be scratched. With that being the case, it is hard to go past Question Bale. Question Bale has led to the first marker in seven of his past eight starts and tonight I would expect him to lead again and this isn't an overly strong race.

Despite the bad draw, Silver Brodie looms as the main danger. In his past few starts he has found loads of bother, tonight he should be able to follow Question Bale across early and he will get his chance to feature. Lady Goldenpaw and Dyna Yenite have small claims.

Top Four: 4 – 5 – 8 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Question Bale

Trifecta: 4,5/4,5/Field ($12 for $1)

Trifecta: 4,5/4,5,7,8/Field ($36 for $1)

Race 10 – 600M Grade 5 – 10:25PM

The talented Fachoong is facing an enormous drop in class and with the lack of early speed in the event, he should fire to the early lead and win. At around the even money mark he looks to be a moral.

Proven Earner has the good draw but he can be very hit or miss early, if he happens to step cleanly he should fill the quinella spot. Thor Bale and Out Of Order can sneak into the minor end of the prize.

Top Four: 5 – 1 – 8 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Load up on Fachoong for the win

Trifecta 5/1/3,8 ($2 for $1)

Race 11 – 525M Grade 5 – 10:42PM

The well drawn Missile Flash should have no trouble driving to the early lead in this event. She has a handy 30.16PB here and I think she can go a little quicker on the tonight. Should be around the $3.00 mark which is value.

Coconut Grove is expected to be the equal favourite, he clearly has the ability to score, but he tends to race best when drawn inside so he is worth risking tonight. Yakamov Bale has been placed in four of five starts here and he can feature again. Johnny Heritage also has some claims.

Top Four: 1 – 6 – 4 – 8

Suggested Bet: Put winnings from Fachoong on Missile Flash to win.

Race 12 – 525M Grade 5 – 11:02PM

Polished Steel really caught the eye when scoring a strong 30.36 win here last week. Tonight he should be able to settle near the speed and prove too strong in the run home again.

Rorshach Bale is armed with a strong finish and if he can avoid early bother he should play a major role. Dynamic Luke has had little luck in his two tries here and he can make amends tonight, include in your exotics.

Top Four: 2 – 5 – 3 – 8

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 2/3,5,8/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 2,5/2,3,5,8/Field ($36 for $1)

Quaddies

1/1,3,5,8/3,4/1,3,7,8 ($32 for $1)

1,2,3/1,3,5,8/3,4/1,3,7,8 ($96 for $1)
