Awesome Fear is showing loads of promise and he really caught my eye when winning his heat at Shepparton last time in 25.47. On that occasion he showed tremendous early speed and he never looked in doubt. He has won here previously and with a good getaway he should lead throughout. Spring Spaniard turned in a massive effort when winning at in 28.02 two runs back and a similar effort would see him figure in the finish tonight. Matty Keeping has a heap of early speed and he could lead for a long way, his last 50m isn't great but he may be able to hold on for a place. Segatashya is well placed in the wide draw and she rounds out the chances, he has turned in some great efforts of late and he could be value in this event.

Jewel Bale keeps destroying punters and it looks like she is going to suck us in again. Tonight she steps up to the 600m journey and that should really suit her. I am expecting her to begin a lot better and she should be able to settle in the top two or three early. Zipping Tank is a gun NSW chaser and if he can avoid being squeezed out at the first turn he should run a big race, the concern with him is that he can miss the kick and he will be looking to get to the middle of the track. Dewana Lass is never far away in her races and she should be running on strongly at the end, whilst her litter brother is the query runner. Three starts ago he scored a brilliant 30.15 win and if he happens to ping the lids tonight he could possibly lead all the way.

10GROOVE GIRL [5]Res.35326NBTL Delbridge (Balliang)

Agent Jack recently changed hands and I'm guessing it was for a substantial amount, last time out he scored a 34.11 win and prior to that he posted a scorching win there over the 515m journey. He is normally a fairly safe beginner and if he begins on terms he should lead all the way. Xtreme Knocka smashed the clock when winning at in 29.56 three runs back and if he avoids early bother tonight he will take a power of beating. Veyron Bale is the intriguing runner, he has enormous talent but he has a habit of finding early bother. He is likely to go around at big odds tonight but he may be worth a saver bet. Frank Furter looks the likely leader and he turned in a handy effort when placed here last time, if he steps cleanly he should give as nice sight.

Why Not Wayne is aiming for a hat trick of wins and he should have enough speed to cross in the early stages. His effort when winning at Sandown two runs back in 34.23 was highly impressive and he really does look suited here. Se's High Above has scored two tremendous 500m wins to date and she should be much better for her first try at the trip here last week. Last time out she was knocked over at a crucial stage and that made her lose all of her momentum, I would expect her to begin a lot better tonight and she should be able to avoid trouble. Whatta Brew will settle in the top two early and he should give a good sight, he is a must for your exotic bets.

Aristotle Bale is armed with loads of early speed and his effort to win here two runs back in 30.32 was very impressive. Tonight he has a slow beginner drawn underneath and that should allow him to get all the breaks as they head into the first turn. Quarrel Bale is an exciting type and he has scored some sizzling provincial wins in his brief career to date. If he can get away cleanly he should settle just off the speed and he will be charging home at the end. Jayney Bale hasn't had much luck since her brilliant 29.53 Sandown Park win, from the pink tonight she should get a few more breaks as they head into the first turn and that should help her regain some confidence. April Rose is the only other winning hope, she has been sharpened up by two 400m efforts at of late and she could give a sight at nice odds.

9PIFFIN' YONNIES (NSW)[5]Res.15877NBTL Delbridge (Balliang)

Deadly Boy is likely to start short odds and from the red it's hard to see him getting rolled. He is a faultless beginner and he musters speed at a great rate. Two starts ago he set the track alight with a blistering 34.22 win here and his opponents can't run anywhere near that sort of time. Hailstorm Billy showed a return to form when placed at Sandown Park last time and he is better suited to this journey. Duchess Bale is hit or miss early but she is capable of anything when she pings, she has had no luck in her most recent efforts and I would expect her to show improvement. Blonde Oasis must be included in your exotics, she likes to scout wide in her races and she can show early speed at times.

Highbury has been a little down on his best form of late but from his favourite draw tonight he should show improvement, four starts ago he stepped cleanly and led all the way from this draw here and tonight I can see him turning in a very similar performance. Babylon Club has turned in some impressive performances when placed of late and he could be good value in tonight. This is one of the weakest races he has contested for a while and he should get every chance. Dyna Synch powered to the line in his top 30.04 win and if he avoids early bother he should take a power of beating, I would prefer him drawn closer to the rail but he is too good to dismiss. Beckenbauer is going well but my concern with him is that he may have trouble crossing in the early stages.

Size Does Matter is probably one of the fastest chasers in the land when on song and from the red he should take a power of beating. With steady beginner Allen Eryk drawn on his outside he should get a very clear run early and if he holds them out it will be interesting to see what he can do on the clock. Maximum Lil is much better than her recent form reads and she has the ability to ping away, if she can settle in the top two early she should give a great sight. Jordan Allen has won three of 11 here and he is armed with early speed, he is likely to be big odds tonight but a top two finish isn't beyond him. Agility is racing well but this is a massive rise in class for him, whilst Quantum Bale has plenty of gears and he only needs luck initially to feature in the finish.

Cyclone Simone comes here with very strong Wentworth Park form and although she is going to start very short odds, it's extremely hard to tip against her. Two starts ago she reeled off blistering sectionals before stopping the clock at Wentworth park in a super impressive 29.63, if she turns in a similar effort tonight she should win by panels. Dyna Orion is the run on dog in the event and he looks well drawn near the rail, four starts ago he hit the line hard and beat a handy lineup at Sandown in 34.52. Echelonic Action has been placed in his past three starts and he has a top record here, his last win came from this draw so if the favourite happens to miss the kick he should be there to capitalise. Darbain Dasher could be value for the place, he gets back early and runs on and he is never far away.

Quasi Bale is a powerful youngster and his effort to win here three starts back in 30.03 was eye catching. His box manners aren't great but he musters speed at a rate of knots and when he gets into some open space he really does go into overdrive. There is a little bit of speed around him but if he can step cleanly I think he will have sufficient speed to hold them out. Tantrum Tommy has been placed in five of seven here and he has the good draw, his effort when placed behind Take Charge here last time was solid. African Storm has the ability to ping the lids and he was never headed in his handy 30.36 win here two runs back, if he can ping the lids and cross he should give a great sight. Mister Mint rounds out the chances, he is well placed out wide and he appears to have regained some confidence with two strong provincial placings.

King Surfa is making his metro debut and he has scored some brilliant provincial wins in his brief career to date. I'm a little concerned about his ability to run a strong 500m but with a clean get away I would expect him to build up at least a six length lead as they head past the back straight. He is going to be fairly short but he is in good hands and its hard to tip against him. Upset Boy is much better than his form suggests and he has been placed in nine of 17 here, tonight he has come up with the good draw and if the favourite struggles in the final stages he should be there to run over the top of him. Zipping Bruno is a highly talented NSW chaser and he didn't have much luck here last week, once again he has drawn poorly but with a speedy beginner drawn underneath he should get a nice cart across early.

Race 12 – 525M Grade 5 – 11.00PM

Margins is an exciting prospect and he should be able to make up for a luckless effort here last week. Four starts ago he was a scintillating 25.17 Shepparton winner from this draw and if he can get away on terms tonight he should have the speed to hold them out. Ucem could be the value in the event, he has won five of nine and he has more than enough early speed to find the lead. Weston East is another exciting youngster and he will be steaming home late, this track doesn't really suit his racing pattern but he is too good to totally dismiss. Jubilea Bale loves racing here and she has a speedy 29.98 PB, she have trouble crossing early but if she can settle in the top three she should be in the finish.
