Nangar Jack has put four wins in a row at Grafton and last start here at Maitland in a 5th grade, and finds himself in another 5th grade race off box two where he has had one start for one win. Ran best of day 25.26 last time and is sure to be improved from the look. Only needs to avoid the dog from from box one to win this and doesn't need to improve to win it.

Best bet of the day comes up from Maitland again, this time in race 11. Lizzy Keen had a bad fall at The Gardens back in April and has struggled to regain confidence and form in three runs since, but did show a glimpse of best form when hitting the lead and just getting collared late here last week. Meets a weaker field here today and with a slow beginner to her outside should have no trouble controlling the race and will strip fitter and stronger.
