Leg 1 – Warragul – Race 4: Stompin' To Place $1.57
Stompin' is a great talent when on song and with the genuine early speed drawn in box one, he appears drawn to get the run of the race. He is normally good to begin and then he musters very quickly, if he can do that tonight he should settle in the top two and he will prove hard to hold out. His main competition will come from Midnight Ride in the run home, he is a star chaser but he can do a lot of things wrong in running, so Stompin' should be able to take advantage.
Leg 2 – Warragul – Race 6: Spring Trail To Win $2.10
Spring Trail hasn't won for a little while but he is a top chaser when on song and he should appreciate the smaller field and big drop in class. He has very little speed around him, so if he can get away evenly he should be able to push through and be in the top three as they head for the back straight. His middle section is his biggest asset, so if he gets out into some open spaces he should be able to put a gap in them. The $2.10 available looks to be a good price as I expect him to start well into the red.
Leg 3 – Warragul – Race 9: Dr. Valhalla To Place $1.57
Dr. Valhalla isn't the best of beginners but he does muster speed at a rate of knots and from the red draw he should get every chance to feature. Four starts back he exploded mid race and he looked ultra impressive when posting a smart 25.56 Ballarat win. If he can display a similar amount of speed tonight he will make Dance Craze work hard for victory.
