Leg 1 – Gosford – Race 5: Taro Tron To Place $2.20
Taro Tron is a smart up and coming sprinter and although he is poorly drawn tonight, he should step well and I'm expecting him to be in the firing line throughout. There isn't a whole lot of speed on his outside, so if he does everything right early, he should be afforded a clear run in the early stages and he will prove extremely hard to hold out. He is currently great value at the $7.50 for the win and it will be worthwhile backing him straight out separately.
Leg 2 – Gosford – Race 7: Head Shy To Place $1.83
Head Shy is a super talent when on song and he looks well placed in this event. There are a couple of handy types but at his best is clearly the most talented and he only needs an ounce of luck to feature. There is a fair bit of speed drawn on the inside, so if he can miss the kick he should be able to drop onto the rail and get a nice run through. He will give them a little bit of a head start but with a clear passage mid race he should be able to make it interesting.
Leg 3 – Gosford – Race 8: Out Of Bounds To Place $3
Out Of Bounds has done most of his recent racing around the Casino and Lismore tracks but he has turned in some super efforts and he should be suited to this track and trip. I'm expecting the one and two to pounce on the early lead and if he can avoid trouble at the first corner, he should be able to drop in behind for a nice sit. He is extremely strong in the run home, so he should make it very interesting as they near the finish line.
