Warragul – Leg 1 – Race 7: Time Dimension To Place (Top Two) $3.25
Time Dimension doesn't win too often but he is rarely far away over this track and trip and he should be suited by the smaller field. He tends to get back in the early stages but there are quite a few runners in this race that will struggle to run the journey, so, if he can stay out of trouble early, he should make a strong move mid race and he will be there to pounce as they near the line. He is great value at $3.25 for a top two finish.
Leg 2 – Warragul – Race 10: Breathing Fire To Win $1.85
Breathing Fire is an absolute beast when on song and from the pink draw there should be no excuses for him. He is normally fair to begin but he does muster speed at a rate of knots and he should be able to settle just behind the four in the initial stages. He is extremely powerful in the closing stages and he should prove too strong in the final stages as he should run around the 22.45 mark with a clear passage. $1.85 is a bit skinny but he does have a fair bit on this lot.
Leg 3 – Gosford – Race 7: Sid Vicious To Place $2
Sid Vicious has done most of his racing to date over the shorter trips at Maitland but in those races he has given every indication that the step up to 500m should work to his advantage. The early speed in this race is with the one and three, so if he can step cleanly he should be able to drive up and settle just behind them. The last 30m is a slight concern for me so that is why I have opted for the place option, however it might be worthwhile having something on him for the win separately.
