Leg 1 – Ballarat – Race 6: Bush Courage To Place $2.38
Bush Courage can be hard to follow at times but there is no doubting that he is blessed with loads of talent. Last week he found some bother mid race when he eased but he managed to hit the line well again and he only went down by two lengths to the exciting Marley Bale. From the wide draw he should be able to avoid bother at the first bend and I would expect him to settle in the top three. He is quite strong in the run home and with a clear passage a top three finish looks likely.
Leg 2 – Ballarat – Race 11: Gee Boy To Place $2.88
Gee Boy is ideally placed in the pink draw and if he can step well he should get a nice cart across from the favourite in the initial stages. He is armed with a devastating turn of foot soon after box rise and he has always done his best racing from wide draws. He is going around at very big odds in this event and although I think he will struggle to beat Ronray Spirit, he should still be right in the mix as they near the post.
Leg 3 – Ballarat – Race 12: Dyna Zeek To Win $2.25
Dyna Zeek has only had the six career starts but in four of those races he has shown a sizzling turn of foot and he has shown an appreciation for wider draws. With a keen railer drawn underneath tonight, he should get a nice cart into the race in the initial stages and that should allow him to put a space in them mid race. This is not an overly strong race so he should get every chance to score from the good draw.
