Wentworth Park betting preview & best bets | Wednesday, 26/10/22

Another wonderful Wednesday mid-week meeting at awaits us this Wednesday night. The track raced beautifully on Saturday night and a big shout out to the track crew after all that Mother Nature has thrown at them recently. Some very nice races including a very nice maiden, a top class free for all which sees the return of the girl She's A Pearl and a rarity here at headquarters, a Battlers race for the lowest graded nominated dogs and as always we will do our best to find you a few nice selections and even a little bit of value but as always we ask that you please gamble responsibly.

Best Bet – She's a Pearl (Race 6)

It's great to see the Million Dollar girl back and ready to light up Wentworth Park. Jody Lord has taken back over the reins and having only her fifth start back since having a seasonal break she has won two and run fourth in two. She has had another little let up since she failed to qualify for her second in the year and she was dwelling a little at the start on her comeback a habit she cannot afford to continue when racing the best of the best. There is no doubting that she is all class and if Jody has her ready and with any luck and a clean beginning she will make a mess of this field. She will probably start at reasonable odds to as she has not been her usual brilliant best since returning but that will only add to the appeal of watching this dead set champion go around tonight… She's a Pearl…more like She's a Champion.

Danger: Aston Barak who has also been taking on top quality opponents of late winning a heat of the Cup () before being very unlucky in the final. Will get some room to move early behind the speedster who will use a bit of the track and could worry She's A Pearl early and if that happens it could allow this bloke to slip through and he could be dangerous.

Best Value Bet – Cartel Master (Race 3)

Tough to tip winners in a Battlers race but this bot is better than his recent form and this may just be the race he shows us that. If this were the of ten months ago when Andrew Bell had him flying he would probably be in the best bet section but since suffering an injury mid-year he just hasn't quite regained that flying form for young trainer Chris Green but he is on the improve and getting fitter. He has drawn awkwardly out in box six and does like to head to the fence but none of these dogs have been at their best of late. He has broken 30secs around here and that is the best P.B in the race and will be at good odds and might just be worth a ticket in case he can re-capture some of his past glory.

Best Roughie – Club Model (Race 7)

A sister to who goes around in the maiden and Coco Model who is in the Free For All and she has the family early speed trait and is expected to lead this race somewhat comfortably, however she doesn't like to go anywhere near the fence and will be three and four wide around the first turn and isn't the strongest girl in the race. The question will be, can she get herself a big enough lead to hang on? She has run some exceptional times and still found a way to get beaten in recent runs and at double figure odds may be worth a shot at leading all the way if she can lower her personal best around here.
