Wentworth Park racing tips

It's Wednesday night and that can only mean one thing — will be pumping with a 10-race program all lined up and ready to launch. We have a nice maiden heat and final series plus a good staying race and the debut of several exciting prospects, so it promises to be an exciting night of greyhound racing at NSW's premier track. As always, we will endeavour to steer you towards a few nice dogs.

BEST BET: Mister Perfect (Race 7)

This young dog is extremely well bred, being by Zambora Brockie x Miss Paymaster, and has only recently turned two. He was first-up after a long injury break last Wednesday night and did a great training job making sure he was right. While he did a few things wrong, he absolutely romped in and was in a different class to his rivals. He meets a tougher field here and gets the toughest draw there is for a dog that was moderately away at best last week; however, he did muster speed quickly and there is bound to be some fitness improvement along with the fact he was seeing Wentworth Park for the first time under race conditions last week. His 29.83 time on that occasion looks good enough to steal this race, and that may well be bettered tonight. He should appreciate box eight and shouldn't get cluttered up early; it will just be what happens with any dogs under him at the first turn. Otherwise, he and his record will remain Mr Perfect.

Danger: Sinister Dreams just hasn't been able to snare a win here and really has her paw on the till. It is becoming a concern that she has only won two races from her 38 starts and has almost 20 placings as well. She will use box one well, and if anything happens to Mr Perfect early, she might be able to get win number three.

NEXT BEST: Feel The Chaos (Race 9)

rugs up another exciting prospect with this daughter of x Heading My Way (who was a very strong South Australian girl). She has been racking up a very impressive record at the provincials with now five wins and a couple of placings from her nine career starts. She has progressed through the distances and grades very nicely, and if Lagogiane thinks she is ready for 500m at Wentworth Park, who are we to disagree? Her last run at was sizzling over the 400m, and with the pace she needed to head that field over the sprint distance, you would think she would be right in the early firing line here. Other than the two dog, there is little or no early pace in this race. The box should be no worries and you can rest assured that Lagogiane would have had her around here in a trial or two before bringing her here.

Danger: is the only dog that can worry Chaos for the lead. If she does kick up under our girl, Lopez could be the testing material.

BEST VALUE: Subtle Art (Race 8)

Subby Ngurah puts the polish on this son of out of his good bitch Nino De Oro and he is a sneaky chance at good odds of pinching this race. will stifle the betting and is the class factor but is not racing as well as he can since returning from an injury. boy moves back into the inside box, where he has run three placings from five goes, and last Wednesday night we saw him chopped out in the run to the first turn when trying to push up and lead in a race he could have won with luck. If he can lead this field, which he is more than capable of doing, and run around the 30-second mark, he will be in this race up to his eyeballs. With a few of the more fancied rivals likely to be short in the market and not racing as well, this boy is great each-way value.
