Wentworth Park greyhound tips & best value bets | May 25, 2022
There are 10 races on the card as we return to Wentworth Park for another enticing edition of Wednesday night greyhound racing. It is great to see the new initiative from GRNSW where every rug colour belongs to a corporate bookmaking company, which we hope will pour lots of money and attention back into greyhound racing and rehoming. As always, good luck with your investments and gamble responsibly.
BEST BET: Lektra Lad (Race 6)
Mark Davidson has worked wonders with this chaser since bringing him up from Victoria early on in his career. This son of Barcia Bale and Lektra Fire has now won nine races and tends to win in bundles, and that is what’s expected of him when he looks to make it three in a row tonight. He blitzed his rivals in the Group 3 Bob Payne Stakes here a few weeks back and then went to Gunnedah to toy with a decent field there, running the best time of the night. He is generally a good beginner and has the pace and ability to lead this field off this awkward draw, so he can bring up win number 10 in his career tonight.
Danger: Garden Party, who finally worked out what Wentworth Park was all about and had a very good win here Saturday night.
NEXT BEST BET: Tania Keeping (Race 5)
Tania Keeping is a young stayer with a tonne of ability and has recently changed from the very strong Dubbo kennels of Charmaine Roberts to the premier staying kennels of the Finns. While she has only had eight career starts, she has been showing excellent ability and has run some good times. She is obviously being set for The 715 at The Gardens, which is coming up, she has come to town and missed the very strong staying series in Newcastle on Thursday night. She can show enough early pace in her staying races to place her prominently, and if she has trialled here and knows her way around the tight Glebe circuit, she will be saluting in this and getting a nice paycheque for her troubles.
Danger: McEntire, who has been racing consistently of late but is not top class.

NEXT BEST AGAIN: Ultimate Coat (Race 7)
Ultimate Coast is undefeated from box one, winning all four starts from the inside. Whilst his times here at Wenty haven’t been fantastic previously, he has been absolutely flying, winning all four starts at Maitland since returning from a six-month layoff. He possesses enough pace in a race devoid of genuine early toe that he may well be able to punch up along the fence in the early stages and lead, which will enhance his chance immensely.
Danger: What About That, who will get a nice run down the centre of the track and is strong, but can be very hit and miss.
