Quartz Bale is all class and he was desperately unlucky in a heat of the Easter Egg last week. He is poorly drawn again tonight but he has a wide runner drawn directly on his outside so he should get plenty of room to drive through in the early stages. He is an extremely fast chaser when given clear running and if he steps on terms tonight he should be running around the 29.50 mark. He will be short odds but he does look to be a moral and it may be worth anchoring him up front.

Let It Develop has the speed to lead the first half of the race and he returned to form here last week with an all the way win in 30.03, the time was handy but the manner in which he hit the middle section was most impressive. I dont think he can hold the favourite out but he should fill the quinella spot.

Seven Jacks was smartly placed in a heat of the Richmond Derby two runs back and he should run a cheeky race again, he can be a little hit or miss early but he has a great record here and he is a must for your exotic bets.

Passenger rounds out the chances, he has the good draw and he could run a cheeky race at odds.

Mullaway broke the 600-metre Albion Park track record last time and with an ounce of luck early he should blow them away. He is better over the middle distance journey but he has scored some slick wins at Albion over the 700-metres and he should be able to break up the field mid race. The box draw is a slight concern but there isn't much speed on his outside so he should get a fairly clear passage.

Grifter Bale has been flying in SA and he ran the hands off the clock when scoring at Angle Park in 43.04 last time. He generally steps quite well and he is armed with a great turn of foot soon after box rise, if he can settle in the top two or three early he should be able to make a good move mid-race.

Lillycette caught the eye with a top 42.48 Meadows win last time and she has the speed to lead for a long way, this is a class rise for her but she should be able to handle it.

Unix Bale is the interesting runner, she is making her staying debut but she gives every indication that she will be able to cover the journey.

Zipping Felix is a must for the exotics, he is a good stayer when on song but he has struggled in recent months, if he found his best he could run a bottler.

Great race and if Sweet It Is has been fully wound up she will take a power of beating at the juicy odds of $2.80 with William Hill. She hasn't raced since December but at that time she was the best stayer in the land. She has won three of eight over this track and trip and she has produced some of her biggest runs here. Being fresh I'm expecting her to settle a lot closer to the speed than normal and she should prove too strong.

Lady Toy is clearly the second pick and she scored in devastating fashion here last time in 41.85. The concern tonight is that she is drawn in the middle and she will have trouble finding the early lead, she is more than capable of coming from off the speed but she won't be able to produce those kind of times from off the pace.

Julie Bale has the speed to lead and she should give a nice sight, she isn't a genuine stayer but she might be able to break away mid-race and that might allow her to steal the prize.

Starc has a solid record here and he has been racing well in this type of company for quite a while now, he normally steps well and he should put himself into contention at the first bend.

Space Star is an absolute beast and with any sort of luck he should blow them away. He commenced his staying career over this track and trip and he has a good record of four wins from nine starts with a 41.84 PB. He is a much better chaser this time around and with a clear run I think he is capable of getting down to the 41.50 mark if the track is in good condition, he is only short at $1.65 but he should win.

Luna Jinx can be very hard to follow at times but she recently beat Space Star in the Group 1 Superstayers series at The Meadows. She trialled well here last week in 41.95 and if she doesn't get crowded she should test the favourite again.

Psychotic Gold is a classy SA stayer and she was more than competitive in the Zoom Top at The Meadows in February. She will need some luck early but if she gets it she could run a place at nice odds.

Opec Bale rounds out the chances, he has a big engine but he can make mistakes in his races, if he can balance up in the top three he should be there at the end.

Over Limit returned to racing with a blistering 29.46 heat win last week and he should be able to go back-to-back. He reeled off a sizzling 5.37 to the first marker last week and if he can reproduce that he should be able to carve across and assume control. I'm expecting the four to carve up the inside division so that should allow him to build up a nice lead mid race and he will be one of the fancies for next week's final.

Ritza Hattie was a tad disappointing last week but her record here is fantastic and she is able put in a massive run every now and again. Three starts back she posted a highly impressive 29.87 win here and that would be enough for a top three finish tonight.

Bad Boy Sniper was also a little disappointing in his heat but he is all class and he does own a breathtaking 29.43 PB here, he can make mistakes early but if he can balance up in the top three or four early he should be right there at the end.

Midnight Flynn is going to be well supported but he is poorly drawn nearer the inside, if he gets the breaks he can win but at the shorter odds I would be willing to risk him tonight.

Dyna Double One is one of the most exciting chasers on the planet and from the red he is drawn to lead from go to whoa at $2.45 with William Hill. He didn't have much luck in the early stages of his heat and he was always going to find it difficult to take ground off the super talented Over Limit, if he can lead tonight he should be able to reel off brilliant sectionals and reach the post in under 29.40 and that would see him win comfortably.

Whodat Knockin' turned in a solid performance when placed in his heat and he is drawn to get the gun run. I dont think he can beat the red but he should be able to follow through at the first bend and he might be able to qualify for the final.

Ronray Spirit caught a few punters by surprise last week with his all the way win in 29.65, I expected him to lead but I did not expect him to hit the line as well as he did, I think he will struggle to lead tonight but if he can sit outside the red he should take home some minor money.

Sisco Rage and Dyna Villa round out the chances, both are class acts and they just need some luck in the early stages to feature.

Recruitment pulled out an absolute bottler here last week and he has come up with his favourite draw tonight. Last week he showed very good early speed and a few lengths behind the in form and brilliant Fernando Bale before he took ground off the leader in the run home. His effort was brilliant and from the rails draw tonight I can see him making every post a winner.

I'm Pedro continues to go from strength to strength and he really impressed me last week also. He has the speed to settle in the top two or three early and he appears to be getting stronger all the time, he will be nice odds in this event and he could be the value at $6.50 fixed with William Hill.

Hostile will start short and he is clearly a chance, however he has a wide runner drawn underneath and he may be posted wide throughout, he is a winning chance but tonight I think place chances appear best. The smokey could be Winsome Senor, he powered to the line here last week and with four runs under his belt after a spell he should be ready to show his best.

Fernando Bale continues to do everything right in his races and with slow beginners on either side he should be able to lead from go to whoa. He has won four of five over this journey and two of those wins have been in sub 29.50. Fingers crossed he can do everything right because I think it will be an amazing final with him, Over Limit and Dyna Double One all expected to advance.

Dawkins Bale is a great talent and he has won three on the trot in great style, from the red he should be able to drive through and settle on the back of Fernando Bale, I dont think he will be able to reel him in but he should grab the quinella spot.

My Bro Fabio is clearly the fastest chaser overall and with a clear run he will take some stopping, however his racing pattern means that he will need too many things to go right, so place claims look best tonight.

Lamia Bale rarely runs a bad race and she could cause an upset, she was a tad disappointing last week but that was her first look at the track so she should find a few lengths.

All Too Fancy has scored some tremendous wins on the provincial circuit of late and she should be able to use her brilliant early speed to her advantage. Two starts back she broke the Temora track record and she has won here previously in a sizzling 29.81, if she can turn in a similar effort tonight she should be able to lead throughout.

Rare Pearl is capable of anything when switched on but he can make a lot of mistakes in his races, the red draw should suit tonight and if he can avoid bother in the first 50m he will prove hard to hold out. My concern with him is that he is going to be very short and it's hard to take short odds about a dog who does so many things wrong in running.

Gorham Bale is better than his form reads and he loves racing from inside draws, he will get back early on but he does hit the line well and he could salute at nice odds.

To A Tee is never far away in this company and he has been racing in good company of late, I dont think he can win tonight but he is a must for the exotics.

Flash Earner is ideally drawn in the pink and three starts back she recorded a slick 29.94 win here from this box. Since resuming from a spell she has gone from strength to strength, she is dropping in class tonight and with a clean getaway she should be able to lead throughout.

Margins is much better than his recent form suggests and he should run an improved race, he doesn't begin very well but he does possess a nice turn of foot and he should be able to push through into a prominent spot early.

Jack Kade is hit or miss at box rise but he sizzled mid race in his last start win here in 30.08, he is rising in class tonight but he should be able to give a good sight.

Schooner Doll rounds out the chances, he has a solid record here and he can show great early speed at times.
