Race 1 – 520M Grade 4 – 7:28PM

The inform kennel should kick start the night for us. Fire Elusive is normally a reliable beginner and he musters pace very quickly. He has two average beginners drawn either side and he should get every chance to lead throughout.

Dyna Geldof has had no luck since his smart 29.92 win here and the empty draw outside will definitely help.

Scout's Gold is the intriguing runner, he has more than enough talent to win but the rails draw will work against him. Swan's Mavis won't get into the race from out wide.

Top Four:             2 – 4 – 1 – 8

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Fire Elusive, rove in quinella with 1 and 4.

Race 2 – 520M Magic Maiden Final – 7:47PM

This maiden final is jam packed with and on paper there look to be a number of chances. After looking at all the speed charts, I have decided to settle on Zipping Weston.

Zipping Weston looked dynamic when winning here in 29.62 two weeks ago. That night he won by 11 lengths and outside of Shakey Jakey he was four lengths faster than any other runner on the night. So far he has shown that he is a tad risky at box rise, but tonight that may work in his . I expect Paua To Roar and Brasko Kahn to match motors to the first turn and this should allow Zipping Weston to get the gun run behind them. With two 500 metre runs under his belt he should be powering to the line.

Likely leader Paua To Roar was far from disgraced when narrowly beaten in his semi final and if he does hold them out through the first bend he will take some reeling in. I don't think he can hold out Zipping Weston if he is sitting on his back but he has continued to improve with every run.

Anything Less is the likely favourite and he was enormous in his semi win, however from the wide draw he will have to overcome difficulties to win again. Zipping Bruno is the other winning hope, drawn in the middle he will need luck but there is plenty of pace drawn underneath so he should get a clear passage.

Top Four:             2 – 1 – 4 – 3

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Zipping Weston, rove in quinellas with 1,3,4.

Race 3 – 520M Special Event – 8:10PM

has been a tad unlucky in recent runs along with being a little disappointing. Tonight she has the luxury of slow beginners drawn either side and this should allow her to land on the and regain some confidence. She has a 29.79 PB here but she has improved a lot since then and if she pings the lids I think she can get down to the 29.50 mark.

Dyna Nalin has been a superstar chaser for a long time and he is making his last start tonight. He deserves to go out on a winning note but in recent times, he has been missing the kick and if he does so again he will need a lot of luck. I'm really keen on Ritza Hattie but I think this bloke will be steaming home to fill the quinella.

Where's The Surf looks well drawn and if the two mentioned above make any mistakes I would expect him to take advantage.

Top Four:             4 – 3 – 1 – 5

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 4/1,3,5/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 4/1,3,5/1,3,5 ($6 for $1)

Trifecta: 4/3/Field ($6 for $1)

Trifecta: 3,4/3,4/Field ($12 for $1)

Race 4 – 520M New Sensation Final – 8:27PM

Hooksy continues to take all before him and tonight he will again be starting prohibitive odds, however I don't think he will get things his own way tonight.

My Kinda Music is an explosive beginner who caught the eye with a smart 29.75 Semi win. Tonight she has two keen railers drawn underneath and this should allow her to cross with ease. Having her fourth run over 520 metres tonight, I believe she can go a little quicker than her semi win and that should see her collect the winner's .

Bottom Dollar has a great turn of foot after box rise and if he can bring My Kinda Music across early he should be able to box on for the quinella spot. He has found a bit of bother in his two Wentworth Park runs which hasn't allowed him to show what he is capable of, tonight I think he will get a clear run early and he may catch your attention.

King Odessa has been in consistent form and he may sneak into a place at big odds.

Top Four:             6 – 5 – 7 – 3

Suggested Bet: Win bets on My Kinda Music and Bottom Dollar (more on My Kinda Music).

Race 5 – 720M Association Cup Final – 8:50PM

Xylia Allen made me eat my words last week. After stepping on terms she showed tremendous pace to fire to the lead and from there on she remained airborne. I expect her to either lead again or at worst settle just behind Lethal Three initially, if she repeats her record breaking performance from last week she is a moral at even money.

Sweet It Is was far from disgraced in her heat effort last week. After missing the kick like normal, she began to work her way through the field and hit the line strongly when beaten by less than three lengths by Dyna Willow. I'm expecting Xylia Allen to break up the field tonight which means the rest of the field will be bunching up, this will allow Sweet It Is to run over the top of them.

Dyna Willow is the only other winning chance, she has won six of seven here and is in rare form.

Top Four:             2 – 3 – 4 – 5

Suggested Bet: Take the evens for Xylia Allen.

Race 6 – 520M Mixed 4/5 Final – 9:15PM

This is one of the most open races on the night. Stilton Blue is a lid pinger and he was highly impressive when runner up behind Awesome Project in his heat last week. I would expect him to lead again tonight and there should be a traffic jam behind him as they head through the first bend. He appears to be getting stronger with each run, so if he leads tonight I can't see him getting run down.

Billy Buzzard is another reliable beginner who was luckless in his heat, tonight he has a slow beginner drawn underneath and this should allow him to gain a clear passage and settle just behind Stilton Blue. I don't think he can reel in the leader but he looks a good quinella proposition.

Awesome Project was an impressive heat winner but the rails draw appears to be a negative for mine. Apollo Reign hit the line solidly in his heat and I think he is a value bet at odds to run a place.

Top Four:             8 – 3 – 2 – 1

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 8/1,2,3/1,2,3,4,5,7 ($15 for $1)

Trifecta: 3,8/1,2,3,8/1,2,3,4,5,7,8 ($30 for $1)

Race 7 – Group One Golden Easter Egg Final – 9:45PM

Reigning Australian Cup champion Buckle Up Wes has fared extremely well with the box draw and he looks destined to snare his second One Final. After stepping on terms he was outpaced by Magic Display in his heat and in the run home he was a tad disappointing. Tonight from the red draw, I expect him to have sufficient speed to hold them out and from there on he should prove too strong.

is a very fast chaser on his night and he should get the gun run early behind Buckle Up Wes. Last week he settled just off the speed and powered to the line when scoring in 29.81, a repeat of that would see him put plenty of pressure on the favourite in the run to the line.

Evil Punk was the fastest heat winner last week but from box six tonight he has a big task ahead. Outside of the inside two draws, there appears to be only two other winning hopes. Ollie Bale has returned to his brilliant best of late, whilst Magic Display has pinged the lids in her two quick heat wins. If the inside two make any mistakes initially, I would expect to see Ollie Bale and Magic Display take full advantage.

Top Four:             1 – 2 – 3 – 5

Suggested Bet:

Trifecta: 1/2,3,5/2,3,4,5,6,8 ($15 for $1)

Race 8 – 520M Mixed Event – 10:15PM

In a race which has a number of runners blessed with sizzling early pace, likely favourite Double Trigger can't afford to make any mistakes.

Red Road is very hit or miss early, but when he hits he does like to test the clock. Last month he scored two brilliant 30.30ish wins at Richmond and his best of 29.54 here speaks for itself. Tonight I am anticipating that he will step on terms and then follow Fast Archer across in the early stages. Soon after he should assume control and put a space in his rivals.

Iona Tokyo is another fast beginner who scored three consecutive wins here, all around the 29.80 mark. I don't think she can go with Red Road in the closing stages but the two leaders should have put a fair space in the rest of the field.

Gradence is the run on chaser in the field. His two recent efforts here in the Easter Egg series were much better than they read on paper. He will obviously get too far back to be a winning chance but he is a great dog to anchor for third and fourth in your exotics.

Top Four:             6 – 7 – 4 – 8

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Red Road

Trifecta: 6/4,7,8/Field ($18 for $1)

First Four: 6,7,8/6,7,8/4/Field ($30 for $1)

First Four: 6,7,8/6,7,8/Field/4 ($30 for $1)

Race 9 – 520M Grade 5 – 10:35PM

Zambora Magic recently turned a few heads when scoring at Richmond in a 30.31. Tonight he doesn't appear too badly drawn in box seven and he should be given sufficient room early to muster speed. If he reproduces his effort from Richmond he should win by a big space, I am expecting him to be around the even money mark but that appears to be value.

The obvious and only danger to Zambora Magic appears to be Musquin Bale. Two starts ago he was enormous behind Buckle Up Wes and he should find this a little easier. My only concern with this bloke is that he can sometimes bomb the start. I expect that he will be giving Zambora Magic a little head start but if he can step cleanly tonight he will be right in the mix.

I can't see any winning hopes outside of the two mentioned but if you're looking for a value place bet, El Caballo might be a solid investment. He will probably be around the $3.00 mark for the place and he has continued to improve in his three runs since a long spell.

Top Four:             7 – 2 – 4 – 1

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Zambora Magic, snap up the even money

Race 10 – 520M Grade 5 – 10:55PM

Bearded Midget recently made light work of a smart field at Bulli when scoring in a dazzling 26.14, he then followed that effort up with a luckless placing here last week. Tonight I would expect him to ping the lids and match motors with Drop Jaw in the early stages. He will have too much speed for Drop Jaw off the back straight and he should be able to snap up his first Metro win.

Drop Jaw was airborne early here last week when placed in a heat of the . Tonight he should be able to go with Bearded Midget for a long way and therefore hold on for the quinella spot. He is going to be double figures, so he may be a great value bet for the place.

Tiger The Weapon will most likely start favourite but I don't think he has enough speed to hold them out early, therefore nullifying his winning chances. My Boy Snoop is the surprise packet, he has shown tremendous improvement of late and he finds himself in a suitable race tonight.

Top Four:             5 – 6 – 4 – 7

Suggested Bet: Place bet on Drop Jaw (should be around $3)

Trifecta: 4,5,6/4,5,6/1,3,4,5,6,7,8 ($30 for $1)

Trifecta: 5/4,6,7/Field ($18 for $1)

Quaddies

2/2,3,8/1,2/6,7,8 ($18 for $1)

2/1,2,3,5,7,8/1,2/6,7,8 ($36 for $1)

2,3,4/2,3,8/1,2/6,7,8 ($54 for $1)

2,3,4/1,2,3,5,7,8/1,2/6,7,8 ($108 for $1)
