Centrebet Announce Largest Sponsorship In NSW Racing With GBOTA

The NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association was this week delighted to announce a partnership with entity Centrebet for the next three years across all of the Association's Metropolitan, Tab and Non Tab tracks, with the agreement being the largest of its kind within the NSW racing industry.

Following discussion with a number of entities, terms have been agreed to between the Association and Centrebet which will see signage, race naming and promotions undertaken at , Bathurst, , , Lismore, , Appin Way, , and Temora.

Further, the agreement will see Centrebet as sponsors to a number of group and feature events across the Associations tracks, including a significant presence at the forthcoming carnival.

Executive Officer, Brenton Scott, said the Association was delighted to be establishing a relationship with the prominent wagering operator.

“We are thrilled to be forming this relationship and are certain that it will expose our racing product to a wider audience across the total wagering market,” Scott said.

“Centrebet have an extremely strong profile with in the wagering sector, and we look forward to working with them in a mutually beneficial manner for the overall benefit of greyhound racing.”

NSW GBOTA Chairman, , was confident of the profile of Centrebet and NSW greyhound racing being further enhanced as a consequence of the agreement.

“Centrebet are obviously committed to growing their greyhound racing business and the significant sponsorship and advertising support now provided in this agreement emphasises Centrebet's willingness to support the greyhound industry,” Rose said.

Centrebet Public and Relations Manager, Neil Evans, said their organisation viewed the relationship with the NSW GBOTA as vital in increasing their profile in greyhound racing and the wider racing industry.

“This is a watershed and pro-active partnership that will give greyhound racing the boost it so richly deserves,” Mr Evans said.

“I congratulate the GBOTA on its expansive and progressive thinking, and look forward to many exciting race nights at leading tracks around NSW!”

From its beginnings in 1992, Centrebet has now grown to become a leading international online betting and gaming company. They currently offer up to 6,000 international and racing markets per week, plus a growing list of state-of-the-art gaming products.

Centrebet offers sports and racing markets through its licensed Australian sports-bookmaker, Centrebet Pty Ltd.

In 1996 Centrebet was the first licensed bookmaker in the Southern Hemisphere to offer online sports betting.
