Melton Coursing Continues Despite Vandalism
The Melton Coursing Club were devastated that vandals had broken into the track during Friday night.
Fortunately due to the outstanding efforts of Jon Roberts and the Melton Committee (the cable which had been sabotaged during the night) was able to be fixed in time for coursing to take place on = Sunday. It is most disheartening for these deliberate acts to upset the hard working people connected with greyhound industry.
Marlene Schmidt had a great day with 2 winners; Irene Izon was overjoyed when Princess Annie won the event, with Endless Advice also successful for Marlene. Koko Black owned by Dr Des Fegan performed well for Colin Dalton in the PETE'S MULTI SERVICES – DOG PUPPY.
It was great to see Ron Hood and his charge End of Fashion successful in the ELDERS REAL ESTATE – MAIDEN BITCH EVENT.
There are not many coursing meetings that Steve Burke from Echuca Village does not attend. I hate to think of how many kilometres you clock up travelling to meetings. Proven Reggie did the job for you on Sunday and all the best for the future.
Betta Lowndes travelled from Koroit with the Callaway Family and it was great for you to experience some success.
