SA Coursing Continues To Improve
It is interesting to note that a number of starters from our earlier meetings have gone on to record wins on the circle. Coursing is a great improver for young dogs, dogs coming back from injury or just looking for a change in the type of racing.
Another 10 race program saw some keen competition in all rounds with best of the day recorded by Dolmar (14.91) when winning the Open. Neil Mann and Laurie Cahalan led in doubles with Wrap Around Sue and Nitro Ranger for Neil and Slasher and Totally Tango for Laurie. Peter Hurley was successful with Avatar Kist, Ben Rawlings with Dolmar, Todd Kelly with Little Zippity, Lauren Harris with Apertif, and Ray Fewings with Cool Frank. Ray called the program for us when Rohan was otherwise engaged – Thanks Ray!
Our next meeting is set down for 14 July and all grades will be catered for – we will even run a Veteran's if we get enough nominations. Remember, entries for the 2013 Waterloo must have had two coursing starts – either here or Victoria. Many thanks to the Kelly family – they have offered a free service to Uncle Remus (proven sire) for both the Oaks and Derby winners – support such as this is well appreciated. Don't forget, nominations close with GRSA on Wednesday 10 July at 9.00 am.
