Slipper’s Tonic Turn The Tables On Sparrow Baz

After an exciting duel last weekend, Slipper’s Tonic turned the tables on Sparrow Baz in the Kennard’s Hire Open Stake winning by 2 lengths in 15.25 (best).

Terry Cahalan produced three youngsters from the Where’s Pedro/Keep Token litter who all won in fine style – remember Cease To Panic, Panic and Keep Looking – they will win races. Steve Coates produced Jacob Jay to win a Maiden Stake and take home one of the Club’s $500 jackpots – congratulations Steve.

Vic Kellaway’s Lola Jean took out the Adelaide Plains Vet Surgery Maiden stake and Don Turner’s Lightning Flood won the Macro Meats & Gourmet Game Maiden. Shaun Matcott had a winner with Dunk Bale in the Emerley Park Mixed Stake – this greyhound has shown a liking to straight tracking and just keeps on coming.

Our next meeting is scheduled for 18 July; all grades catered for. Our forthcoming feature scheduled for 15 August is the Patron’s Cup and the Rising Star Stakes – the Patrons is a 16-dog Open event and the Rising Star is for both dogs and bitches whelped on or after 1 July 2008.

Preference will be given to greyhounds who have coursed, so come along and give your dogs a go.

In the last couple of weeks, a lot of greyhounds who have been coursing have won at their next start on the circle – Sparrow Baz, Carlita Bale, Tennile Bale, Rowland Bale, Long Gully Libby – just to name a few – give your dog a treat – come field racing.
