Wentworth Park Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 4 Agent Gibbs, 9.12pm
The Jason Mackay trained Agent Gibbs has plenty of talent and could be the knock out dog here. When he first stepped up to the staying trip he looked very impressive when winning a couple in the city. Not long after he really started to struggle and found himself struggling to finish in the placings. He’s now been sent up here to Jason, and I suspect he’s shown improvement here on the new track.
He’s got good early toe and has the motor to challenge these here. If he can lead or posse up in front of Set To Shine, he may be able to pinch this. Either way keep your eye on this guy, he’s bound to win a few here in NSW.
The Meadows Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 2 Fast Archer 8.40pm
Lay bet here which most of you will already have put a line through, as the Superstar Xylia Allen is engaged and should just win. Punters may find a little value if they decide to leave the talented Fast Archer completely out of their first 4 selections. It’s not that he can’t compete against these, it’s the fact that he has struggled when he’s been taken interstate, and saves his best for his home state. I reckon a great trifecta and First 4 combination will be to anchor Xylia, from boxes 1,3,4,5, leaving ‘the archer’ right out. Limburg Fear could rattle the cage of Xylia Allen, if he pings and runs the times he has been. Keep a close eye on him.
Cannington Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 7 Rumbling Rick 8.50pm WA time.
The Ricky Ponting owned Rumbling Rick is our on-tip selection here. He won well last week when winning second up after coming across from Tassie. He has a huge motor and has run a 29.50 odd around Launceston. Linda Britton is sure to get the best out of this dog, and looks as if he can win here again. I have no doubt he will improve on his moderate winning time last start, and at his best should get down around the 30.20 mark. He should start at each-way odds tonight and I suggest sticking with him as he’s likely to improve here.
Best of Luck
