Greyhound Racing SA Appoints New Steward
Greyhound Racing SA recently announced the appointment of Mr Gary Steele as a Stipendiary Steward.
Gary comes from a diverse background including a number of sales and management positions with various companies including Smiths Chips and McCain Foods.
Over many years Gary has been involved with the Greyhound Industry in South Australia via syndicates having had a share in more than 10 greyhounds. For the past 3 years Gary has been on the Grading Review Panel.
“We are delighted to have appointed Gary to our Stewarding team. His background certainly establishes him as a valuable addition to the Greyhound Racing Industry in South Australia,” said Mr Paul Marks, Chairman of Stewards, Greyhound Racing SA.
Gary, in turn, echoed Mr. Marks' sentiments saying that he is “looking forward to the challenges of the role and helping to continue the professionalism of Greyhound Racing SA's steward department”.
Greyhound Racing SA Limited (GRSA) is the controlling body for greyhound racing in South Australia whose key responsibility is to ensure that the sport is managed in a responsible and ethical manner.
