GRSA Cancel Port Augusta Due To Heat, Silence From GRV & GHRRA

have again taken the lead on the issue of heat policies, greyhound racing and issuing clear and concise decisions in the best interest of the greyhound.

With extreme temperatures again forecast for much of South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, GRSA have given early warning that with a forecast of 44C for on Saturday, the meeting has been cancelled.

No such advice has yet been forthcoming from GRV or with regard to racing this weekend, and again it looks like a case of turnover at all costs; with temperatures expected to reach 43C in Melbourne on Saturday and 42C in Sydney.

According to the GRSA they made he decision early, to enable trainers to look at nominating for meetings next week.

The Port Augusta meeting will be abandoned.
