GRSA Names Quinton Bale 2008 SA Greyhound Of The Year

On Saturday night South Australian Greyhound Racing held its annual awards night to conicde with the Series.

On the night the SA Greyhound Of The Year was named from the five finalists : Dads Memento, , Quinton Bale, and Scull Murphy.

GRSA annouced the trained Quinton Bale as the 2008 SA Greyhound of the Year for owner .

He won the award by one vote of the 2007 SA Greyhound Of The Year winner Scull Murphy, who was looking for back to back wins.

During 2008, Quinton Bale had 32 starts for 18 wins and 7 placings and earnt $7,345 in prizemoney.

He was named SA for July & October, and feature wins included Heat, Semi Final & Final of the 2008 Metro Holden Classic, Heat & Final City Dismantlers SA Sprint Championship, Consolation Final of The Bunyip Gawler , and also managed a Victorian metropolitan win at The Meadows (Vic).

Quinton Bale's best times for the year were 29.53 (515m )a nd 30.77 (531m Gawler).

Risk It was named SA Distance Greyhound of the Year.

Dad's Memento was named the SA Bred Greyhound of the Year.
