Last Remaining Nationals Hopefuls Trial At Angle Park
Following on from the last weeks trials for Finalists at Angle Park; there were 3 trials run this morning.
Tombstone Jack (Tas) trained by Stuart Genge – 29.95 (box 6) over 515m – 4.64, 17.01, 12.94.
Sitka (Tas) trained by Mick Louth – went from the 731m boxes and finished on the lure at the 600m boxes the second time ( trial of around “515m” ) from box 2; first 3 split times – 4.41 (first turn), 16.46 (winning post), (turn off back) 30.04.
Sophina Bale (SA) trained by Shaun Matcott – 35.64 (box 3) over 600m – 9.19, 22.09, 13.53.
These were not stewards trials, as was the case for the racenight trials, and no weights were recorded.
In other news from The Nationals, Nerini Bale which was the second reserve (No.10) is a scratching from Saturday night's AGRA Group 1 National Distance Championship Final (Race 7) at Angle Park.
The greyhound was vetted after the race meeting on Thursday night, found to be injured and stood down for 2 months.
