Mystic Rumble Remains Unbeaten At Casino Greyhounds

The well performed Mystic Rumble kept her unbeaten sprint form at in tact with a record breaking run in the Vesuvio @ Stud Christmas Gift Heats last .

The Steve Kavanagh trained galloper went straight to the front, and powered away in the mid section of the race to run 22.73. This took 3 100's of a second of Within Site's previous bench mark.

She only clocked an “average” 8.68 to the mark, but the strength of her win was shown when she ran home in a very fast 14.05.

On a real “speed” track, the second fastest heat winner , equalled the old record with an all of the way victory. The in form sprinter, now with Brian and , carved out a first sectional of 8.53, before going on to win by 4 1/2 lengths.

Next best time went to the ultra consistent who clocked 22.94 for the Northfield clan. Wicked Twist came home stoutly to run 23.06 for Peter Simpson, whilst Within used his rails draw to perfection to stop the clock at 23.28. The remaining heat went to Farmer's Image who was never headed in a 23.33 win. Janice Mc Lean trains him locally.

Three heats of the Christmas maiden also , and Brad Northfield produced another smart one in who set the time standard of 23.06. He dwelt slightly at the start, but had enough pace to hold out Light Of Trey in the run to the first bend. He kicked clear at this point, and went on to win by 3 3/4 lengths.

's dogs race well at Casino and he led in the second maiden heat winner in Problem Prince. He also led from the first bend to run 23.42. Mr Snake Eyes rounded out the heats with a 23.31 win. The Neil Falls trained dog kept close to the fence in leading most of the way, and won by 7 3/4 lengths.

Yorklea Valley kept up his winning form making it a hat trick of Free For All wins for Tony Marras. Again he had to do it the hard away after blowing the start, but came with a scintillating run on the home bend to race away and score by 1 1/2 lengths. He ran 23.02.

Tom Tzouvelis took the training honours with a winning double. Write Off Bart was well supported from his rails draw, and just kept coming to win the Westlawn Finance stake in 27.95, while California Blue held on in a blanket finish to take out the Distance race.

The two sprint finals, with some very speedy customers will highlight this Friday's TAB card, in what will be the Casino Club's last meeting for the year.
